This position is a Tier 2 Linux support position managing Red Hat and Ubuntu Linux working day to day with users of the systems. The position requires someone who can address problem resolution in a large enterprise environment. Activities include Linux systems administration tasks such as operating system installations, (physical and virtual), OS and hardware troubleshooting.

Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680

Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years work experience or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Education
- Six or more years of experience as a Linux system administrator managing systems in an enterprise environment consisting of hundreds of systems
- Experience in O/S installation, Software, Hardware and Patch management
- Able to debug/troubleshoot OS and hardware issues
- Hands-on experience of system management, system setup and managing Linux based systems as well as configuring them
- Able to develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
- Knowledge of scripting languages and ability to implement when needed.
- Perform system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all system resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs.
- Able to work independently or with minimal supervision
- Candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills and be a self-starter.

- Experience with Ubuntu Linux.
- Experience with Automation Tools
- Experience with writing technical documentation skills including standards, policies and procedures
- Training or certifications in one or more of the following: Ubuntu, Red Hat Linux, VMware
- Experience with researching and recommending innovative automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage resources.
- Experience with Puppet Enterprise
- Experience with Service Now IT Ticketing Application
- Experience with CyberArk
Clearance
Ability to acquire Secret clearance preferred
