Systems Admin Sr

Job Description
This position is a Tier 2 Linux support position managing Red Hat and Ubuntu Linux working day to day with users of the systems. The position requires someone who can address problem resolution in a large enterprise environment. Activities include Linux systems administration tasks such as operating system installations, (physical and virtual), OS and hardware troubleshooting.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years work experience or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Education

• Six or more years of experience as a Linux system administrator managing systems in an enterprise environment consisting of hundreds of systems
• Experience in O/S installation, Software, Hardware and Patch management
• Able to debug/troubleshoot OS and hardware issues
• Hands-on experience of system management, system setup and managing Linux based systems as well as configuring them
• Able to develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
• Knowledge of scripting languages and ability to implement when needed.
• Perform system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all system resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs.
• Able to work independently or with minimal supervision
• Candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills and be a self-starter.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ubuntu Linux.
• Experience with Automation Tools
• Experience with writing technical documentation skills including standards, policies and procedures
• Training or certifications in one or more of the following: Ubuntu, Red Hat Linux, VMware
• Experience with researching and recommending innovative automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage resources.
• Experience with Puppet Enterprise
• Experience with Service Now IT Ticketing Application
• Experience with CyberArk
  Clearance
  Ability to acquire Secret clearance preferred

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
