Job Summery
As a System Simulation Engineer, you will be responsible for System level simulation of ASM, PSM, Inverter and electrical drives for determination of losses, most efficient operating points. You will also be responsible for development of various models related to E-drive and Gearbox.
Skills required:
- Detailed understanding of how an Electric drive unit works in EV. Primary drive Unit
- Secondary drive Unit. Types of Losses in ASM and PSM Machine and factors influencing them. Detailed understanding of Gearbox layout in common electric vehicles;
- Losses associated with the components in gearbox. Detailed understanding of Inverter component and losses associated with the components in the Inverter. AC, DC, Mechanical Power conversion strategies in both Motoring and Generating mode. General working knowledge on switching strategies of Inverter.
- Two level and three level converter -> FOC (MTPA, FW), Active Gate Driving strategy.
- Advanced Switching strategies -> Optimized Pulse Pattern and Max Efficiency strategy. Good MATLAB scripting experience and debugging experience.
- Idea to use some part of scripts already available to generate a new functionality of the script.
- Strong skills in MATLAB Simulink and Simscape
- Understand the concepts of Interpolation, Monte Carlo analysis and Pareto concepts.
- Experience with working on Motor CAD can be helpful. Experience with test rig measurements and analysis can be helpful. Application life cycle management tool experience such as PTC and DOORS is preferred. Good understanding of ASPICE and ISO 26262
