With our expansion into insider risk management through the acquisitions of Aware, Code42, and Elevate, Mimecast is redefining the human risk protection category. We're on a mission to protect work—everywhere it happens.

Role Overview

Mimecast is looking for a skilled and visionary Senior Vice President of Revenue Operations to lead and expand our global GTM efforts. Reporting to the Chief Customer and Revenue Officer (CCRO), this role will be a key member of the GTM executive team and is responsible for designing the operational strategy, tools, systems, and enablement infrastructure that boost performance across Sales, Customer Success, Channel, and Marketing. The SVP will directly oversee a global team across Sales Operations, Sales Enablement, Revenue Systems, Forecasting, and GTM Analytics, and will work closely with Sales Finance, FP&A, Marketing, Product, and Product Marketing. This role also acts as the go-to-market leader for annual planning, responsible for aligning revenue goals, resource allocation, capacity modeling, and territory design across the organization.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Lead annual and long-range GTM planning, partnering with Sales Finance to align bookings targets, headcount, capacity, compensation, and strategic investments.

  • Manage territory planning, quota design, and segmentation models to support scalable growth.

  • Serve as a key advisor to the CCRO and sales leaders, influencing company-wide strategy through operational insight and GTM expertise.

Forecasting & Pipeline Management

  • Own and evolve the global sales forecasting framework—implementing a disciplined, data-driven forecast cadence across all theatres and segments.

  • Utilize Gong Forecast (or Clari) and Salesforce to drive predictability, pipeline conversion, stage hygiene, and deal inspection processes.

  • Deliver consistent reporting on performance-to-plan, win/loss trends, and funnel dynamics.

Sales Enablement & Methodology

  • Lead global Sales Enablement including onboarding, field readiness, and ongoing learning paths.

  • Champion adoption of Mimecast’s sales methodology (e.g., MEDDPICC), aligning tools, training, and content to support each stage of the sales cycle.

  • Partner with Product and Marketing teams on enablement for new product launches and cross-sell expansion.

Revenue Systems & Tools

  • Oversee the GTM technology stack including Salesforce, Gong, Tableau, Outreach, and other sales engagement, productivity, and analytics platforms.

  • Drive system architecture, data governance, process automation, and user adoption across all revenue functions.

Analytics, Reporting & Performance Insights

  • Lead the GTM Sales Operations team to deliver actionable insights across revenue metrics—pipeline health, productivity, pricing, customer lifecycle, and churn.

  • Build dashboards and executive-level reporting that empower data-driven decision-making and sales execution.

Operational Execution & Team Leadership

  • Ensure consistent execution of sales processes across regions and segments, with a focus on efficiency, effectiveness, and simplicity.

  • Identify and drive process improvements and automation opportunities that increase GTM speed and reduce cost-to-serve.

  • Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing global Revenue Operations team, setting clear goals, development plans, and performance expectations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work across Finance, Marketing, IT, Legal, HR, and Product teams to align on GTM strategies, product readiness, compensation design, and resourcing.

  • Champion global consistency while allowing flexibility for regional nuance in a high-growth, matrixed environment.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven success in managing global sales operations, enablement, and forecasting at scale.

  • Deep experience in sales forecasting, annual planning, and sales productivity metrics.

  • Proficiency in systems such as Salesforce (SFDC), Tableau, Gong, Outreach, Clari, and other GTM systems.

  • Strong analytical, project management, and change management capabilities.

  • Experience building and leading large, distributed teams in global organizations.

  • Exceptional communication and executive presence; confident presenting to C-Suite and Board stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
