Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive the implementation of sustainability initiatives to achieve cost savings.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement sustainability projects.
  • Foster a proactive facility management culture through effective use of monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain an updated initiatives tracker, including savings type, estimates, and status.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sustainability metrics.
  • Promote continuous improvement in sustainability practices across the organization
  • Operations / Projects teams (i.e., Building FMs) sustainability engagement o Support buildings and systems management operations in the most energy efficient way.
  • Energy Management Checklist completion & periodic report
  • Training all employees on Corporate Environmental Sustainability goals.
  • Drive sustainability mindset in day-to-day work
  • Corporate ESG Reporting o Site environmental data collection process
  • Data feed required for external reporting
  • Sustainability program o Reporting of program strategy, management and performance to site, sponsors and corporate CoEs
  • Proper escalation of gaps identified, corporate team support needed and other changes such as scope & resources.
  • Quarterly reports on trends, technology, & regulations
  • Pursue local / national certifications or awards for program recognition
  • Education & Engagement
  • Employee education materials & onsite employee engagement events o Sustainability communications
  • Energy Program management
  • Support US DoE 50001 Readiness
  • Energy Performance Indicator (EnPI) establishment around significant energy users
  • Measurement & Data Analysis
  • Completion / update Low Carbon Transition Playbook
  • Technical site energy assessments o Energy Kaizen, Energy Audit, Gemba Walks, etc.
  • Ideation of projects and pipeline o Coordinate project entry into corporate platform with site stakeholders
  • Rebate optimization process
  • Projects o Sustainability Analysis / Alternatives for Project Delivery o Sustainability Design
  • Requirements / Green Building Design Standard (STD-D123)/ PA111 / Rebates
  • Execution o Measurement & verification of savings
  • Rebate optimization o Sustainability Reporting Requirements
  • Energy Projects (Env. Sust. Driven) o Mitigation / efficiency  Ideation of projects  Coordinate project entry with site stakeholders (i.e., GENIUS Lead) o Execution  Measurement & verification of savings  Rebate optimization  Sustainability Reporting Requirements
  • Bills / Data (Electricity, natural gas, water, etc.)

Qualifications Requirements/Knowledge/Education/Skills:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sustainability or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and report on sustainability metrics.
  • Proficiency in energy monitoring systems software and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CO2 emission tracking and reporting.
  • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and cost-saving measures.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and best practices.
  • LEED Green Associate
  • Certified Energy Manager
