About the RoleAre you looking to use your supply chain experience and leadership skills in an industry that supports and protects explorers and heroes? We could use your expertise on our team! As a Supply Chain Manager I, you'll lead a team of buyers, subcontracts management specialist and category leads to define, develop and improve the supply base and esure it's support to Sierra Space programs. You'll establish priorities to maintain production schedules to ensure program milestones and delivery requirements are met, as well as coordinate with executive management, program management and other department managers to ensure the company’s material, planning and production objectives are accomplished. You'll prepare capital, contract equipment and facility requests based on program and company demands. Additionally, you'll lead supply chain innovation and efficiency throughout the Business Area by partnering with departments to support the company’s vision. You'll function as a supply chain liaison within the business by collaborating with Operations, planning, and the logistics groups. You'll drive innovation by maximizing capabilities of current procurement management systems and seek out new advancements in technology and process. You'll drive the supply chain discovery process, drive implementation and deployment for complex projects. You'll ensure meaningful supply chain KPIs (key performance indicators) are set, measured and communicated across the organization to drive visibility on goals, as well as provide leadership to direct reports, including responsibility for your department’s performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translates functional plans into operational plans; identifies and executes operational initiatives. 

• Ensures execution in accordance with financial plans; accountable for area budgets. 

• Embodies our culture and great leadership; leads and supports change initiatives. 

• Manages activities of multiple sections or a discipline in accordance with established organizational guidance, providing direct supervision to team members. 

• Translates strategy into operational processes, recommending changes which impact the section or discipline. 

• Develops and manages operational plans, defining procedures and policies to deliver results within the area of discipline. 

• Executes according to financial plans, goals, and priorities. May contribute to financial planning. 

• Interacts with leadership outside own area of expertise and/or external stakeholders, effectively communicating results and recommendations across disciplines. 

• Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors. 

• Upholds and models company values; holds others accountable to values.

About You
Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).

• Several years of relevant work experience with a significant portion in a managerial or leadership role 

• Upholds and models company values; ability to hold others accountable to values

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to translate functional plans into operational plans; identifies and executes operational initiatives

• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations 

• Financial acumen and budget management skills

• Experience supporting organizational changes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Typically, 2-4 years of relevant experience

• Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

• Prefer a candidate with both development and production experience skills.

• In-depth working knowledge of commodity, Category and Sourcing Management

• Background in manufacturing timelines and requirements

• Ability to read and understand technical requirements

• Experience working in Supply Chain supporting government contracts

• Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance

COMPENSATION:

Pay Range:

$123,585 - $169,950
