Job Description:   

We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Supply Chain Associate to support day to day purchasing, inventory management, material planning, shipping, and supplier coordination activities. Responsibilities include processing purchase orders, obtaining supplier quotes, tracking both inbound and outbound deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating inbound shipments, updating supply chain systems, and communicating material shortages or schedule risks.  This position works closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure materials are available when needed and supply chain activities are completed accurately and on time. 
 

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Support day-to-day purchasing, inventory management, material planning, and supplier coordination activities. 

  • Prepare and process purchase orders, request supplier quotes, and compare pricing, lead times, and availability. 

  • Follow up with suppliers on order acknowledgments, delivery dates, backorders, and overdue materials. 

  • Maintain accurate supplier, part, pricing, inventory, and purchasing records in the company’s systems. 

  • Track open purchase orders and communicate material shortages, supplier delays, and schedule risks. 

  • Work closely with Logistics Operations to help track inbound and outbound shipments and communicate shipment status to internal teams. 

  • Coordinate with engineering, production, finance, and other internal teams to confirm material requirements and resolve purchasing or inventory discrepancies. 

  • Support inventory replenishment, supplier performance tracking, purchasing reports, cost-control efforts, and supply chain improvement activities. 

Qualifications:   

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field preferred. 

  • One to three years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, supply chain, manufacturing, or a related role. 

  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications. 

  • Experience using an ERP, MRP, purchasing, or inventory management system is preferred.
