Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to join the Transportation team in Plantation, FL. In this role, you will develop scalable and reliable reporting tools and deliver actionable business insights using both structured and unstructured data. Chewy has a strong culture of data-driven decision-making and requires business intelligence that is timely, accurate, and impactful. The Transportation organization operates in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, collaborating with Transportation Operations, Finance, Procurement, Fulfillment Center Operations, global transportation providers, Inventory Planning, and S&OP. You will have the opportunity to design and implement analytical solutions that drive meaningful recommendations for key stakeholders and help evaluate the impact of those decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong SQL skills, experience with data visualization tools, and a proven ability to turn data into actionable insights that drive business performance.
What You'll Do:
- Own business requirements gathering, design, development, and maintenance of new metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, and insights within the Transportation organization.
- Maintain suite of reporting tools demonstrating your SQL and Tableau skills across the organization
- Create transportation budgets and measure actuals against budgets
- Drive Data Quality standards from visibility providers and carriers to drive compliance and root cause defects
- Perform root cause analysis, develop and implement corrective action plans to drive service and cost improvements across the network
- Apply data to understand business objectives and identify defects; transform those insights into clear actions to drive cost and service levels improvements.
- Demonstrate your communication skills to partner with transportation operations teams to measure outcomes from recommendations and actions taken
What You'll Need:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in data analytics, supply chain, computer science, industrial engineering
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and Tableau in a business setting
- You are an Excel guru. You are a wiz with advanced formulas & you can build a macro like it's nothing
- Experience with turning structured and unstructured big data into actionable insights
- Strong written, verbal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Position may require travel
Bonus:
- Python and Knime experience
- Experience architecting data warehousing solutions
