The Suervisor Store Services is responsible for the management and delivery of store services including floor care, pest control, linen service, windows, waste, bottle redemption, and cardboard/plastics recycling to all Ahold Delhaize USA brands. The position works independently with Brand VPs, Indirect Center of Excellence and Retail Operations and has responsibility to deliver and execute service level and financial strategies for these areas. The position develops budgets, manages costs and provides reporting and communication to the Brands to deliver the contracted service programs for assigned geography.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC , Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville, MD and Mauldin, SC.
Duties and Responsibilities:• Responsible for oversight and supporting services on behalf of ADUSA Brands within an assigned geography including food waste recycling, floor care, waste services, rendering, recycling cardboard and plastic, bottle redemption, pest control, linen service, and window cleaning contract services.• Continuously monitor and manage vendor service levels and key performance indicators through effective use of the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management system); identify and address service opportunities and issues directly with service vendors• Collaborate with departments engaging in sustainability projects to ensure programs align with and enhance carbon reduction targets, including waste and recycling. • Manage problem resolution and accountability relative to vendor performance of contracted services in response to feedback from Brand operations leaders.• Negotiate/source contracts with vendors to obtain the best value and rates to maintain best in class service levels (in partnership with Indirect COE).• Maintain up to date specifications for all ADUSA Brand store service programs, in partnership with Indirect COE.• Responsible for managing vendor services on behalf of the Brands; including but not limited to, cleaning, linen services, cafeteria services, and bottle redemption/recycling programs.• Provide subject matter expertise on behalf of Retail Operations to develop, implement, and maintain self- sustaining, cost-effective training programs and standards for assigned services. Charged with bringing forward for testing new technologies and solutions that may provide the Brands with an opportunity to reduce cost, labor or provide additional efficiencies to the programs of responsibility.• Regularly attend retail senior leadership meetings to present opportunities, new programs and service level or cost control initiatives and to report on results• Conduct regular category analysis including the development and implementation of category strategies to improve service or reduce costs. Develop proposals for these strategies for review with Brand Leadership.• Consult with Legal as needed on contract changes or verification of state, federal or safety regulations as it pertains to store services programs• Designs the annual store audit program performed by vendors to ensure contract compliance with retail categories.• Maintain effective and ongoing communication with the retail community and vendors regarding best practices, innovations, standard and current program expectations. This is critical given this role's geography of impact (500+ locations) and associated annual opex ($50mm)• Ensure that budgeted financial goals for all assigned services are met; makes corrective action plans with the Brands as needed.• Ensure accurate and timely payment for all contracted services; troubleshoots with Finance when needed.• Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.
Qualifications:• Associate Degree (preferably in Business, Facilities Engineering, or Technology)• 2+ years' experience in retail management role with a working knowledge of general store operations and service requirements• Excellent time management skills and self-motivated. Ability to work independently to deliver projects and core responsibilities • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CMMS software• Possesses a clear understanding of budgeting and accounting principles• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of Leadership• Strong problem solving, decision making and analytical skills• Ability to travel at least 30% of the time, including occasional overnights and weekends

ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $63,440-$95,160
IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $72,880 - $109,320
Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
