Our Summer Internship Program puts you in the heart of one of the most strategic companies in the world. In this Role:
Under the general supervision of the Treasurer, this Treasury Analyst Intern position assists in evaluating the daily cash and debt position of WEX Bank, and releasing wires.

Ideally be located in Midvale, Utah area to work Hybrid in the WEX Bank office Hybrid.
 
What you will be doing

  • Help with the daily reconciliation of Domestic Cash in Reval.  
  • Work closely with Domestic Treasury Analyst to ensure the daily funding requirements to cover both domestic and international MasterCard settlements, and gather other business outflow activity (i.e. Certificate of Deposit repayments, MasterCard fees, customer rebates, operating invoices to WEX Corporation, etc.). 
  • Monitor the daily upload of WEX Capital wires to ensure that potential duplicates or OFACs are cleared. 
  • Pull reporting in Reval to ensure that journal entries have been booked properly.
  • Cross-training for all treasury functions for backup and coverage purposes.

Must have for this role: 

  • Junior or Senior year, working towards a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Basic understanding of computer systems and software such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Understanding of banking operations.
  • Experience with treasury software helpful, but not required.
  • Problem solving skills specifically and ability to work independently.
  • Detailed in your work
  • Ideally had course work in forecasting, accounting, reconciliation, journal entries.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
