The Genomic Medicine Intern will gain hands-on experience and exposure to basic cell and gene therapy processes and manufacturing platforms. Interns will work closely with the R&D Cell and Gene Therapy team.

This position reports to the Fast Trak or R&D Leader and is part of the Genomic Medicine business located in Marlborough and will be an on-site role. 

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with biologists and engineers.
  • Assist with process optimization efforts.
  • Make media, culture cells
  • Participate in experimental design and execution, analyze data, and prepare final report.

Who you are:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biological Sciences or related discipline
  • 0-2+ years of laboratory experience (class experience acceptable); Working knowledge of statistical methods and design of experiments
  • Basic knowledge of good laboratory practices and scientific methods
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Basic knowledge of cell and gene therapy is desired but not required.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

The hourly range for this role is $28.00. This is the rate that we in good faith believe is the rate of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
