Job Summary:
The Summer Administrative Intern will provide administrative support while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit operations and client services. This internship offers an opportunity to develop professional communication, customer service, organization and office administration skills in a mission-driven environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support by scanning, copying, organizing, and filing client documents, and completed paperwork,
- Assist with maintaining confidential records and documentation in accordance with agency policies.
- Support Family Specialists with intake-related tasks and data entry, including entering confidential information as needed.
- Help ensure files and records are accurate, organized, and up to date.
- Perform other administrative and support duties as assigned by your supervisor.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Demonstrates customer service and interpersonal skills;
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn;
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism;
- Comfortable using computers and standard office equipment;
- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, identities, cultures, nationalities, and languages.
- Must successfully complete a Background Record Check prior to the start of the internship.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment, such as computers, scanners, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and printers.
