  • Support subcontractor onboarding, compliance, and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Pre-Award Support

  • Work with capture and legal to structure subcontracting approaches that align with government and commercial procurement strategies.
  • Post-Award Administration
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, invoices, and deliverables to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Administer subcontract modifications, extensions, and closeouts.
  • Partner with program managers to identify and mitigate subcontract risks.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, government regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits of subcontract files.
  • Track and manage subcontract reporting requirements (e.g., small business, SBIR, cybersecurity).
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with Contracts, Legal, Finance, Program Management, and Sales to ensure subcontract strategies support Slingshot’s growth objectives.
  • Advise business leaders on subcontract risk, structure, and negotiation positions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Contracts, Legal Studies, or related field (Master’s or JD preferred).
  • 5–8+ years of subcontract management experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting.
  • Deep knowledge of FAR/DFARS, SBIR, OTA, IDIQ, and subcontracting best practices.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating subcontract agreements, flowdowns, and CTAs.
  • Strong understanding of cost/price analysis, compliance, and risk management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Why Slingshot

  • Work at the forefront of space domain awareness and AI-powered defense technology.
  • Be part of a fast-growing company transitioning from services to a product-first, ARR-driven model.
