Job Description:

Berklee is seeking a passionate, student-centered Student Success Advisor to join our growing, innovative advising team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated higher ed professional who wants to empower students to thrive—academically, personally, and creatively.

At Berklee, we educate, train, and develop artists and leaders to shape the future of music and the performing arts. This mission comes to life every day in our work with students from around the world, across disciplines, and at two world-class schools—Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Student Success Advisors are essential to this mission, helping each student navigate their academic path while cultivating the personal and professional tools they need to reach their goals.

What You’ll Do:
As a Student Success Advisor, you’ll guide a cohort of undergraduate students throughout their Berklee journey—from orientation to graduation. You’ll serve as a critical support system by:

  • Providing academic advising through one-on-one meetings, drop-ins, workshops, class visits, and outreach.

  • Helping students meet key academic milestones, such as core curriculum completion, major declaration, and graduation.

  • Supporting at-risk students with proactive outreach, coaching, and individualized planning.

  • Collaborating with faculty, support services, and peer mentors to ensure students stay on track.

  • Leading programming and events that foster connection, engagement, and student success.

  • Maintaining detailed advising records and reporting on academic progress.

You’ll approach every student with care and authenticity, building trust and ensuring they feel seen, heard, and supported.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and 1–2 years of experience in academic advising, student support, or related fields.

  • A deep commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, especially supporting students from historically underrepresented backgrounds.

  • A team-first mindset with energy, adaptability, and a desire to collaborate.

  • Interest in student development, creative education, and holistic advising models.

  • Ability to navigate multiple technologies and student platforms, with a willingness to learn.

Why Berklee:
This is more than a job—it’s mission-driven work that matters. Berklee fosters a workplace culture grounded in creativity, innovation, and care. We support work-life balance, offer hybrid flexibility, and maintain a strong commitment to professional growth. You’ll be part of a collaborative, student-focused team that values authenticity, continuous learning, and shared success.

At Berklee, your work will support a diverse, global community of artists, performers, and creators as they find their voice and shape the future.

Hiring Range: $60k to $64k; salary dependent on relevant experience and education.
