About the Role

We are looking for an individual to support the build-out of our Strategy and Pricing function and help guide us in our new stage of growth. The Strategy & Pricing Analyst works directly with the Strategy & Pricing Manager and partners closely with GTM leadership, Product Marketing, and Finance

You will work on core projects that shape how OpenGov goes to market and monetizes its products. This includes owning market analysis, conducting competitive assessments, supporting annual and quarterly planning cycles, and leading pricing analysis for new product launches, packaging updates, and market expansion efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end market analysis to shape strategic decisions across GTM, product, and corporate development—partnering cross-functionally to size markets, assess competitive dynamics, to provide direction on targeted GTM strategies, product roadmap, and M&A opportunities

  • Lead analysis on key drivers of GTM success and collaborate with Applied AI team to build out strategic datasets which can drive better targeting and GTM motions as well as for use in high level market analysis

  • Lead quantitative pricing analysis for new product launches, packaging updates, new modules, and partnership offerings, including revenue modeling and scenario analysis to assess impact on growth and margin.

  • Support annual planning efforts across key GTM workstreams, including target setting, org design, and strategic planning; contribute to supporting collateral and present company performance insights to C-level leadership.

  • Support pricing and packaging for new product launches and recurring updates—drive quantitative analysis on pricing realization, competitive pricing, and win rates across segments to identify patterns and recommend adjustments that improve pricing performance.

  • Deliver deep dive quantitative analyses for GTM leadership, combining sales, market and to identify root cause of issues and present on strategies for growth / improvement (e.g., pipeline, churn, operational inefficiencies) and pairing field data with market context.

Requirements
  • 1–3 years of experience in strategy, finance, consulting, operations, pricing, or other analytical roles.

  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to ramp quickly and drive initiatives independently.

  • Expert in Excel or Google Sheets, with experience building and maintaining financial or operational models

  • Comfortable working with raw data across multiple sources to structure analyses and extract insights.

  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate business problems into clear analytical frameworks

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to manage projects independently while collaborating cross-functionally.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Preferred Experience
  • Experience building market sizing models

  • Exposure to SaaS pricing or revenue analysis.

  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).

  • Proficiency with coding languages such as SQL or Python

  • Understanding of AI fundamentals, including how LLM-based tools can be used to streamline processes and support data collection and analysis.

Compensation:

$100,000 - $130,000

On target ranges above include base plus a portion of variable compensation that is earned based on company and individual performance.

The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
