About Marble

Marble is building the new operating system for youth mental health by connecting schools, therapists, and health plans on a single platform to unlock access to care today and raise the standard of care for tomorrow.

Last year, 1 in 10 teens attempted suicide. At the heart of this crisis is a severe lack of access to quality, affordable care. When kids can't get help, problems compound and preventable tragedies follow. Marble partners directly with school counselors to get students into care quickly by connecting them to licensed therapists through the insurance coverage they already have, with no waitlists.

We're an early-stage, fast-moving team. The people who join now will shape how we build and what we build.

About the Role

Marble is rapidly growing and expanding beyond our initial markets, and we need someone to own the strategy and the execution that make that possible. You'll take primary ownership of figuring out where we go next, diagnosing what stands in our way, and then doing the hands-on work to stand up each new market once we decide.

This is a build role, not just a thinking role. On the strategy side, you'll develop our approach to new market selection: building prioritization frameworks, leading market testing and research, and diagnosing key risks. On the execution side, you'll personally stand up each market: setting up corporate infrastructure, running insurance and Medicaid enrollments, managing contracts and vendors, and driving cross-functional readiness. Much of this work is unglamorous and detail-critical, where a missed licensing deadline or a rejected Medicaid application can cost us months. You'll move fluidly between the two, working directly with our Head
of Commercial.

The goal: build the foundation that lets Marble launch new markets faster and more successfully as we scale.

This role is hybrid, with three days per week in our SoHo, New York City office.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the data collection and analysis for reimbursement rates, payor dynamics, regulatory research, market testing that informs which states we expand into next

  • Assess the commercial viability of prospective markets, building detailed gross margin projections and diagnosing the biggest risks and blockers in each one

  • Build a repeatable market-entry playbook(s)

  • Own new-market operational setup: stand up legal entities, insurance contracts, and operational infrastructure

  • Identify, engage, and manage outside experts, advisors, and vendors to accelerate market entry and fill knowledge gaps

  • Once we prioritize a market, drive execution against the risks and blockers we've identified, partnering with leadership to focus on the highest-stakes pieces

  • Flex between operational, analytical and sales work as the team's priorities evolve

Who You Are
  • 4-7 years of experience spanning management consulting, banking or investing, and/or an early operating role (BizOps, Strategy & Ops, Chief of Staff) at a high-growth startup

  • A strategic generalist with a track record of rigorous analysis and ambiguous problem-solving; you know how to build a framework from scratch and make a call with incomplete data

  • Equally comfortable at both ends of the job: ability to think strategically about the business as a whole, but also able to dive in to the nitty gritty to execute on the strategies you propose

  • Healthcare experience is a must; Medicaid or payor experience is a nice to have

  • Radically honest. You'll quickly acknowledge when new information might force a pivot, even when it's not the answer anyone wants

  • High autonomy, low ego. Comfortable taking a fuzzy mandate ("go figure out what's in our way in this market") and running with it with little oversight

  • Sharp attention to detail. The execution side of this role has real consequences when done sloppily; requires strong organization and detail orientation skills

Why Marble
  • Direct impact on kids' mental health access — this work is meaningful

  • Opportunity to own the selection and building of new markets from the ground up, with leadership support and a clear growth path

  • Small, experienced team that moves fast and takes the work seriously

  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and equity

Compensation

Marble offers competitive compensation for this role. Compensation includes a base salary, equity grant, and full benefits.

Base salary: $140,000 – $165,000

Equity: Meaningful equity commensurate with role level

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
