Brand, Product, and Affiliated Distribution (BP&AD) manages MassMutual's largest sales channel, a network of about 7,000 financial advisors across the U.S, helping their clients secure their financial future through an array of insurance and wealth management solutions. BP&AD also has responsibility for MassMutual's product roadmap that supports our full spectrum of distribution channels, Brand and Marketing across the wider enterprise, and MassMutual's Institutional Solutions businesses.

- Inform SLT and ELT decision-making through Strategy Projects
- Progress MassMutual's affiliated distribution and wealth management strategy towards holistic financial advice and growth
- Provide thought leadership on MassMutual's Product Strategy
- Ensure that the Brand and Marketing narrative is clear and that impact is measurable
The Impact:
As a Strategy Consultant, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Contribute to substantive strategic problem-solving efforts - problem solving (e.g., owning high-quality data analysis / insight generation), stakeholder engagement (e.g., building clear and memorable communications / slides), and team dynamics (e.g., working effectively with Strategy Leads, developing strong relationships with cross-functional partners)
- Generate impact as a trusted advisor by maintaining the ability to see the big picture in inherently complex and dynamic situations, and demonstrating a strong nose for value in both prioritizing and solving problems
- Role model behaviors (e.g., high energy, self-driven, strong interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity, highest level of professionalism, inclusive behaviors, orientation towards client and team instead of self)
- Positively contribute to BP&AD's "course and speed" towards ambitious goals, and help drive the success of MassMutual
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience
- 2+ years of strategy consulting experience or a similar role (e.g., internal strategy team, investment bank, or an equivalent strategy/M&A team)
- 1+ year of experience leveraging data including a familiarity with data analytics techniques and being able to analyze to draw out insights and implications
- 1+ year of experience creating simple, powerful, and data-driven communications for senior leaders
- Bachelor's degree
Ideal Qualifications
- Strategy consulting experience from a top-tier management / strategy consulting firm
- Insurance and/or financial services experience is valued, but not a requirement
- Ability to quickly break down and solve ambiguous problems in a structured manner, with minimal hands-on supervision
- Track record of building collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the organization
- Proactive, "at cause" mindset and a sense of urgency to deliver results
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative field
- MBA
