The Capital Partner’s (CP) Strategy team works in close collaboration with senior leadership of BBH’s Capital Partners line-of-business to set the strategic vision and work on the business’ most pressing priorities and objectives to achieve that vision. We wear a variety of different hats, interacting with stakeholders across the organization – including Private Banking, Investment Management, Operations, Technology and more. We lead strategic analysis that informs quality decisions and provide a structured, data-driven approach to solving business challenges. We’re here to be strong thought-partners, provide an outside-in perspective, and help identify opportunities to innovate or grow our business sustainably.

As a Strategy Associate, you will work in close collaboration with other members of the CP Strategy team, business partners, and senior leadership across the firm to contribute directly to and lead workstreams that are critical to the success of our business initiatives and priorities. As a member of the CP Strategy team, you’ll combine strong research and analysis, critical thinking, and creativity together to help advance and grow our business. 

Primary Role Responsibilities

  • Be a key member of the CP Strategy team responsible for defining our longer-term strategy and ways to execute on it most effectively
  • Leverage customer feedback, market research and data/analytics to inform strategic analysis
  • Develop a keen understanding of the industry landscape for private banking and asset management
  • Support development of dashboards, competitive benchmarking, and market intelligence to monitor strategic priorities, identify threats and keep a pulse on evolving trends
  • Digest and distill complex topics and research into easily accessible and understood content or visualizations to facilitate executive level conversations
  • Work cross-functionally with business partners to drive initiatives forward
  • Undertake independent analysis of various areas of the business to help identify opportunities to grow and scale

Qualifications

  • 4-5+ years’ experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or other corporate strategic function
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a bonus
  • Experience in financial services and/or asset management strategy
  • Knowledge of industry dynamics, key players, emerging trends, and products
  • Intellectually curious and contributes to a learning culture
  • Highly self-motivated and energized by tackling new problems or identifying new opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to take complex topics and break them into simpler, easier to understand ideas
  • Strong business acumen and proven analytical skills with attention to detail, focusing on quality and accuracy
  • Strong research, presentation, and creative skills
  • Experience scoping, managing and leading workstreams
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and easily adapts to fast-paced, evolving needs
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and the tools to distill insights
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft Suite – PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Experience and proficiency with data visualization and insights tools preferred– Tableau, Qlik Sense

We are operating in a hybrid model with a minimum of 3 days per week in-person at our office in downtown Boston.
