The Role:

 
Viz.ai is seeking a highly motivated Strategy & Innovation Senior Manager to support the discovery, evaluation, and execution of new business opportunities for Viz—particularly within the Life Sciences segment. This individual will help advance Viz’s next generation of AI-enabled products and partnerships that improve patient outcomes and drive business growth.

As a Senior Manager, you will play a key role in researching new markets, shaping product and go-to-market strategies, and executing strategic initiatives that expand Viz.ai’s footprint in clinical and commercial innovation. Success in this role requires a blend of clinical insight, business acumen, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will: 

  • Identify and assess new Life Science opportunities for Viz, supporting the development of high-impact business cases and partnership proposals.
  • Develop pitch materials, product concepts, and business models that support new initiative launches.
  • Collaborate with Business Development colleagues throughout the Life Science sales cycle by providing clinical and strategic expertise.
  • Conduct primary and secondary market research, including clinician interviews and literature reviews, to inform new product strategy.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Clinical, and Marketing to align stakeholders and translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Support high-priority strategic projects that advance Viz’s Life Science business and organizational growth.
  • Contribute to improving team processes and tools that accelerate opportunity evaluation and execution.
  • Serve as a subject matter contributor and thought partner to leadership on emerging therapeutic areas and market trends.

10% of travel is anticipated for this role

What success looks like: 

  • Within the first 3 months: Gain deep understanding of Viz.ai’s Life Science strategy, core products, and internal processes; Start diligence of new opportunities;  Build strong relationships across cross-functional teams.
  • Within 6 months: Lead research or strategic assessments that inform new market opportunities and support multiple Life Science sales initiatives.
  • Within 9–12 months: Independently own select opportunity workstreams from research to internal alignment and contribute to measurable growth in the Life Science pipeline.

We are looking for:  

  • MD required; MBA or equivalent strategic/consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • 2–4 years in healthcare strategy, consulting, or venture, ideally with exposure to Life Sciences (Pharma, MedTech, or Biotech).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to synthesize and present complex clinical and market data into clear top-down recommendations.
  • Demonstrated initiative and comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with a team-first mindset.
  • Resourceful, quick learner, and adaptable to evolving priorities.
  • AI Native: You treat AI as a core part of your workflow, using tools like ChatGPT to enhance productivity and output.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Base salary range: 

Tier 1 (Greater SF/Silicon Valley Bay area): $188,000 - $215,000

Tier 2 (Greater NYC/NJ/CT Metro/Seattle): $178,000- $200,000

Others (Tier 3 - Tier 5): $142,000 - $185,000


Total compensation includes base salary + variable/commission-tied component + options
