Reporting to and working with our VP of Strategic Growth, our Director of Strategic Growth will prospect high-end advisors, firms, and institutions to work with Modern Life. The right candidate is a successful sales leader who is excited to embrace new technology, make an impact on improving an advisor’s life insurance business and join a fast-growing startup.

What You'll Do:

  • Actively recruit top-level advisors and firms to Modern Life by selling the ML value proposition, vision and industry impact. Activities include:
  • Outbound prospecting and networking to find high-end advisors, firms and institutions
  • Field inbound leads
  • Attend industry events (as needed)
  • Represent the advisor business internally on matters of product development, market alignment and refinement of the product portfolio (including ancillary options such as lending services for PF)
  • Onboard all new advisors
  • Negotiate terms such as advisor compensation and service offerings
  • Solicit partnership opportunities such as national and enterprise accounts

About You:

  • Life insurance brokerage experience is preferred
  • Strong network of high-performing insurance/financial advisors
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring licensed insurance roles
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiating skills
