About Us:

Ambience is developing the most capable AI systems for healthcare and medicine. As healthcare costs soar to 17.3% of US GDP and a projected shortage of 100,000 physicians within the next decade, the need for AI is critical. Our frontline healthcare workers are overwhelmed, with only 27% of the average clinician's day spent on direct patient care.

Our vision is to advance healthcare by empowering clinicians with safe, intelligent AI agents that improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance both patient and provider experiences.

Headquartered in San Francisco, we have secured $100M in funding from top investors, including Kleiner Perkins, OpenAI Startup Fund, Andreessen Horowitz, Optum Ventures, Human Capital, and Martin Ventures. We collaborate with leading AI experts such as Jeff Dean, Richard Socher, Pieter Abbeel, and AIX Ventures.

Join us in the endeavor of accelerating the path to safe & useful clinical super intelligence by becoming part of our community of problem solvers, technologists, clinicians, and innovators.

The Role:
As a Strategic Growth Executive, you will be at the forefront of driving Ambience's growth by developing and closing partnerships with the nation’s leading health systems and academic medical centers. Working closely with executive leadership and the founding team, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and building a strong foundation of successful, referenceable engagements.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the enterprise sales process end-to-end: prospecting, conducting discovery calls, delivering compelling product demos, navigating complex stakeholder environments, and closing contracts.

  • Build meaningful relationships with decision-makers and champions, aligning with their goals to drive buy-in and ensure deal success.

  • Communicate Ambience’s value and ROI effectively to both clinical and non-clinical executives, adapting your messaging to diverse audiences.

  • Leverage marketing resources and strategies to accelerate account progress, including tradeshows, events, and targeted campaigns.

  • Partner with founders and leadership to secure impactful, high-value partnerships.

Who You Are:

  • You have 10+ years of experience successfully selling enterprise software to CXO-level healthcare executives at large health systems.

  • You’re familiar with the provider-facing technology landscape, particularly in areas such as medical scribing, clinical workflows, or hospital operations.

  • You excel at navigating complex decision-making units, influencing stakeholders across different roles and priorities.

  • You thrive in dynamic environments, balancing high levels of complexity and ambiguity to achieve results.

  • You’re resourceful, proactive, and adept at driving significant outcomes within startup-level constraints.

  • You’re a collaborative team player with a low-ego approach, valuing the best ideas regardless of their origin.

  • You’re willing and excited to travel up to 50%-70% of the time to build relationships and close deals.

  • You contribute to a supportive and positive team culture, fostering collaboration and shared success.

Pay Transparency
We offer a base compensation range of approximately $150,000–$215,000 per year, exclusive of equity. This intentionally broad range provides flexibility for candidates to tailor their cash and equity mix based on individual preferences. Our compensation philosophy prioritizes meaningful equity grants, enabling team members to share directly in the impact they help create. If your expectations fall outside of this range, we still encourage you to apply—our approach to compensation considers a range of factors to ensure alignment with each candidate's unique needs and preferences.

Being at Ambience:

  • An opportunity to work with cutting edge AI technology, on a product that dramatically improves the quality of life for healthcare providers and the quality of care they can provide to their patients

  • Dedicated budget for personal development, including access to world class mentors, advisors, and an in-house executive coach

  • Work alongside a world-class, diverse team that is deeply mission aligned

  • Ownership over your success and the ability to significantly impact the growth of our company

  • Competitive salary and equity compensation with benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage, quarterly retreats, unlimited PTO, and a 401(k) plan

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
