Position Overview

The Finance and Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and team supervision in a fully remote environment. This role will play a critical part in supporting Sentient's financial infrastructure as we scale our foundation and ecosystem initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise daily accounting operations across the organization

  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards

  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and compliance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including crypto and foundation-specific accounting considerations

  • Provide accounting support to internal stakeholders across business development, operations, and ecosystem teams

  • Facilitate cross-departmental financial collaboration in a remote-first environment

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, with supervisory responsibility

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and modern accounting software

  • Ability to deliver high-quality results within tight timeframes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Fluency in English (written and verbal)

Nice to Have
  • Audit background (Big 4 or equivalent experience preferred)

  • Experience with crypto/Web3 accounting, including token economics and foundation structures

  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification
