The Finance and Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and team supervision in a fully remote environment. This role will play a critical part in supporting Sentient's financial infrastructure as we scale our foundation and ecosystem initiatives.
Responsibilities
Manage and supervise daily accounting operations across the organization
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards
Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and compliance
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including crypto and foundation-specific accounting considerations
Provide accounting support to internal stakeholders across business development, operations, and ecosystem teams
Facilitate cross-departmental financial collaboration in a remote-first environment
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of experience in accounting, with supervisory responsibility
Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and modern accounting software
Ability to deliver high-quality results within tight timeframes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Fluency in English (written and verbal)
Audit background (Big 4 or equivalent experience preferred)
Experience with crypto/Web3 accounting, including token economics and foundation structures
CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification
