Description

About Bevi
Bevi is on a mission to transform how beverages are delivered and consumed. Our smart hydration systems eliminate the need for single-use bottles and cans—making it easy, fun, and sustainable to stay hydrated. As the leader in smart beverage technology, we’re building a future where Bevi machines are everywhere people live, work, and connect.

The Role
Bevi is seeking a Strategic Business Operations Director to act as a high-impact internal consultant, partnering closely with the CEO, CFO, and cross-functional leaders to tackle the company’s most important strategic questions. You will lead high-priority, project-based work that drives growth, supports investment decisions, and helps prepare Bevi for its next phase of scale.

This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical horsepower, executive presence, and a passion for solving complex problems. You’ll bring structure, insight, and action to questions around customer segmentation, market expansion, go-to-market design, and overall business strategy—while helping the team stay ahead of competitive and industry trends.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner and internal consultant to the CEO, CFO, and other senior leaders across the business.
  • Lead ad hoc, project-based initiatives focused on growth, scale, and innovation—examples include customer segmentation and rollout strategy, channel and geographic expansion, pricing and packaging, or business model evolution.
  • Drive competitive and market intelligence to inform Bevi’s positioning and identify whitespace opportunities.
  • Translate customer insights and behavioral data into strategic recommendations in partnership with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success
  • Design and run structured experiments and tests to validate strategic hypotheses, uncover customer insights, and inform prioritization of new initiatives or focus areas.
  • Support strategic investment decisions by building business cases and defining success metrics
  • Prepare executive-ready materials for the CEO and leadership team for Board meetings, strategic planning sessions, and company-wide communications
  • Establish strategic frameworks and decision models that enable better, faster, and more informed execution across teams.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations to ensure that strategic priorities are reflected in resource planning and day-to-day execution
Requirements

Who You Are

  • 7–10+ years of experience in top-tier management consulting, corporate strategy, or operating roles in a high-growth company
  • Strategic problem solver with strong business acumen and financial fluency
  • Exceptional communicator, skilled at distilling complex topics into simple, compelling insights for executive audiences
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable navigating cross-functional environments
  • Able to operate independently and manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Intellectually curious, resourceful, and excited by ambiguous, high-impact challenges
  • Passionate about working on a mission-driven team and shaping the future of how people consume beverages
Benefits
  • Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance plans with BlueCross BlueShield, 95% paid by employer
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Flexible PTO plus 12 company holidays, and additional paid days for sick leave, etc
  • Generous fully paid parental leave for both birth parents and non-birth parents
  • Fully employer paid disability and life insurances
  • Wellness and fitness reimbursements
  • Monthly stipends for cell phone use and commuting costs
  • Onsite snacks, weekly catered lunch, and (of course) unlimited Bevi ... plus composting and terracycling, too
  • Happy hours, team-building events, bagel breakfasts, Hero awards - and more.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
