The Wealth-Tech Strategic Account Manager (SAM) role is a client-facing role on the Wealth Management Platforms team designed to be the primary point of contact for existing FinTech / Wealth-Tech client relationships. In addition to managing these existing relationships, this SAM will research other FinTech Firms and cultivate new client relationships that would be advantageous for Invesco to consider partnering. The initial focus will be to support our Custom Model and SMA product lines in US Retail but could extend into the Insurance and Retirement space, ultimately. The Wealth Tech SAM would be responsible for every facet of these relationships, from inception to long-term management.
Your Team
The WMP team manages day to day engagement with our best client Partner Firms while acting as the primary relationship manager for Invesco. The WMP team constructs the business strategy for client Partners, negotiates business terms for impacting organic growth and is responsible for the full integration of Invesco products onto client Partner platforms. We work in direct partnership with Investment due diligence and Field Pro Buyers, and we are responsible for bringing the breadth of Invesco products and services to every distribution partner.
Your Role
The Wealth Tech Strategic Account Manager (SAM) will work alongside all Senior SAMs and Product line Specialists as part of a Client Engagement team to facilitate the partnership with external Clients. In this role, the SAM candidate will help build the business plan, event strategy, engagement strategy, field sales support, data delivery and will help coordinate every aspect of the partnerships we have built with the industry’s most significant FinTech Partners.
You Will Be Responsible For:
The development and adoption of the FinTech Firms business plan.
The placement of IVZ products on Client Partner Platforms.
The training of our Field Sales teams about the FinTech ecosystem and how these partnerships impact sales and growth in Invesco critical few objectives (CFOs).
Representing Invesco at certain Industry and Client events to help promote IVZ products.
The negotiation of business contracts and financial terms to support organic growth and advisor education with Client partners.
The dissemination of data to assist field sales with relevant and timely sales opportunities.
The Experience You Bring:
Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in financial services with an emphasis on the RIA marketplace and broad knowledge of related job families (i.e. financial sales, strategic accounts). The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in technology platforms that serve the financial services community and current relationships with these important FinTech firms.
Leads others to solve complex problems where significant initiative and independent judgement is required.
Works independently, with guidance in only most complex situations.
Converts technical FinTech client information to compelling business context and advice.
Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.
Works on complex assignments where significant initiative and independent judgement is required to search for an appropriate course of action within the context of established goals and objectives
Uses concepts and abilities of the skill to solve complex problems in creative and effective ways
Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view
The total compensation offered for this position, which includes salary and incentive pay, will vary based on skills, experience and location. The salary range for this position in New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, Colorado, and California is $105,000 to $115,000 annually.
