AnewHealth is seeking a highly motivated and relationship-focused Strategic Account Manager – Provider Relations to develop, manage, and grow strategic partnerships with physician groups, health systems, medical practices, accountable care organizations (ACOs), and other healthcare providers. This role serves as the primary liaison between AnewHealth and assigned provider partners, driving referral growth, provider engagement, program adoption, and long-term account retention.

The Strategic Account Manager will work closely with clinical, pharmacy operations, growth, implementation, and leadership teams to ensure provider partners receive exceptional service while advancing patient outcomes through AnewHealth’s pharmacy, clinical, and care management solutions.

The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare account manager with a proven track record of relationship management, consultative selling, provider engagement, and business development within physician practices or healthcare organizations.

Responsibilities

Account Management & Relationship Development

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned provider groups and healthcare organizations.

  • Develop strong partnerships with physicians, practice administrators, office managers, care coordinators, referral coordinators, nurses, and executive stakeholders.

  • Conduct regular in-person and virtual business reviews with provider partners.

  • Drive account retention, growth, and provider satisfaction across assigned territories.

  • Act as the escalation point for provider concerns and coordinate internal resources to ensure timely resolution.

Growth & Business Development

  • Increase patient referrals, prescription volume, and engagement in AnewHealth clinical programs.

  • Identify opportunities for expansion within existing provider relationships.

  • Prospect and develop new provider partnerships in target markets.

  • Present AnewHealth solutions to physicians and healthcare leadership teams.

  • Communicate the clinical, operational, and financial value of AnewHealth services to provider organizations.

  • Support contract renewals, partnership expansions, and strategic growth initiatives.

Provider Engagement & Program Adoption

  • Educate provider offices on AnewHealth services and clinical programs, including:

    • Chronic Care Management (CCM)

    • Medication management solutions

    • Medication synchronization

    • Adherence programs

    • Home delivery services

    • Pharmacist-led clinical interventions

    • Value-based care initiatives

  • Support onboarding and implementation activities for new provider partners.

  • Monitor utilization of programs and recommend strategies to increase adoption and engagement.

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Monitor key account metrics including:

    • Referral volume

    • Prescription growth

    • Program participation

    • Patient engagement

    • Retention rates

    • Provider satisfaction

  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation and pipeline reporting.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly business reviews for assigned accounts.

  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve partner performance and business outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with pharmacy operations, implementation teams, pharmacists, clinical staff, and leadership to support provider success.

  • Collaborate with Growth and Business Development teams to support market expansion initiatives.

  • Participate in strategic planning and special projects designed to improve provider engagement and organizational growth.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Health, or related field preferred.

  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant healthcare experience will be considered.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in:

    • Healthcare account management

    • Physician relations

    • Pharmaceutical sales

    • Healthcare sales

    • Provider engagement

    • Healthcare business development

  • Experience working with physician groups, ACOs, health systems, managed care organizations, or healthcare service providers preferred.

  • Experience supporting value-based care or population health initiatives preferred.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong relationship-building and consultative sales skills.

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.

  • Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities.

  • Experience interpreting performance metrics and developing growth strategies.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $120,000 annually

  • Incentive Compensation: Eligible for a target annual incentive opportunity of 20% based on achievement of defined performance goals and business objectives.

  • Total Target Compensation: $144,000 annually

Schedule: This is a full-time exempt position. Team members are expected to work an average of 40 hours per week and may be required to work outside of normal business hours to support provider partners, business needs, and organizational priorities.

Schedules may be modified based on business requirements.

Travel: Travel is required to support provider relationship management, business development, implementation activities, conferences, and company meetings. Estimated travel is approximately 25–50%, depending on territory, provider partner needs, and business priorities.

This is a remote position.
