At Built, we’re transforming the way the world’s largest financial institutions manage construction lending, collateral, and capital. We’re looking for a Strategic Account Manager to deepen relationships with our top enterprise clients - leading with insight, driving measurable business outcomes, and serving as a trusted advisor to senior executives.

This is a high-impact, consultative role that sits at the intersection of technology, finance, and client strategy. You’ll partner closely with Built’s Product, Engineering, and Go-To-Market teams to ensure our solutions deliver meaningful value - improving efficiency, mitigating risk, and accelerating growth for some of the most respected names in financial services.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Serve as the strategic point of contact for Built’s largest financial institution clients, cultivating relationships with senior and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business, operating model, and strategic objectives to proactively identify opportunities for innovation and expansion.
  • Build and execute long-term account strategies focused on adoption, retention, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Go-To-Market teams to align client goals with Built’s roadmap and capabilities.
  • Lead complex initiatives that deliver impact across lending operations, technology integration, and workflow transformation.
  • Monitor account health and performance using data and insights to forecast risk, uncover opportunities, and guide strategic conversations.
  • Drive renewal and expansion discussions, leveraging a consultative approach to demonstrate ROI and strengthen client partnerships.
  • Act as a thought partner — bringing industry best practices, benchmarking data, and recommendations that help clients modernize their lending and risk management processes.
  • Represent Built at executive business reviews and industry events, helping position the company as the technology partner of choice for financial institutions.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience managing strategic or enterprise accounts within fintech, SaaS, or financial services.
  • Proven success in engaging C-suite and senior executives at complex, regulated organizations.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technology solutions to measurable ROI and business outcomes.
  • Skilled in influencing without authority and driving alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, executive presence, and negotiation skills.
  • Data-driven mindset and experience using metrics to drive adoption and client value.
  • Deep curiosity about the intersection of finance and technology, and a passion for helping clients modernize legacy processes through innovation.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
