At Creation Technologies, the Business Development Director is a strategic growth leader focused on expanding our medical device portfolio through high-value, long-term partnerships. This remote role is designed for a proven “hunter” with deep experience selling complex electronics manufacturing and EMS solutions into regulated medical markets. With 50%+ travel across North America, the Director engages medical OEMs as a trusted advisor—navigating quality, regulatory, and lifecycle requirements to secure new business, align internal technical teams, and drive sustainable revenue growth in a highly competitive industry.

  • Champion New Business Growth
  • Drive strategic growth by identifying, cultivating, and securing new business opportunities aligned with Creation’s long-term market objectives and competitive positioning.
  • Generate leads, convert prospects, and expand the customer base using tools to track performance and forecast growth.
  • Leverage technical expertise and EMS industry knowledge to elevate Creation’s position as a strategic, trusted partner within the electronics manufacturing landscape.
  • Drive Sales Strategy & Perpetuate Brand Awareness
  • Maintain continuous engagement and proactive follow-up with prospective customers to nurture relationships and advance new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with product and marketing teams to align offerings with market trends and customer demands.
  • Continuously assess and respond to shifts in the competitive landscape to ensure sustained market relevance and strategic differentiation.
  • Manage Internal Business Processes & Influence Stakeholders
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive execution of strategic business development initiatives, ensuring alignment and sustained momentum toward growth objectives.
  • Engage internal stakeholders to deliver strategic pricing models, market intelligence, and tailored value propositions that align with customer priorities and drive business outcomes.
  • Lead partnership negotiations and cultivate strategic relationships that drive mutual value, accelerate growth, and support long-term business objectives.
  • Contribute to company-wide projects, initiatives, or other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Required Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is preferred; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
  • A minimum of eight years of experience in sales and business development within technology manufacturing or a related industry is required. Candidates should demonstrate a successful track record of strategic partnership development, revenue growth, and leadership in lead management and business expansion.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Specialized knowledge of the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry and familiarity with key verticals such as Medical, Technology Industrial, and Aerospace and Defense.
  • The ability to develop and execute market strategies, craft tailored value propositions, and communicate clearly with executive stakeholders is essential.
  • Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, Microsoft Office, and lead generation platforms is required.
  • Navigating cross-functional teams, influencing without direct authority, and balancing customer goals with company profitability through tools like the Triple E framework and customer Creation Total Available Market (CTAM) analysis.

In accordance with pay transparency regulations, the anticipated starting salary for this position ranges from $180k-$200k USD annually. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and a range of benefits. Please note that this salary range is not guaranteed, and the final offer may vary based on experience, education, location, and shift. Additionally, the benefits and programs available may differ depending on the hire date, schedule type, and hours worked.
