Statistician
KCC seeks a highly motivated Statistician to join the KCC Model Development Team who are building advanced technology for weather, climate, and catastrophe modeling. In this position, you will work closely with other scientists and engineers to implement advanced data science and statistical methods including machine learning.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to develop advanced statistical and ML algorithms for cutting edge applications
- Collect and analyze large data sets of atmospheric data
- Conduct model sensitivity and validation tests
Qualifications
- PhD in Statistics is preferred, candidates with a MS in Statistics and relevant job experience will also be considered
- Extensive knowledge of extreme value models, goodness-of-fit test statistics, estimation methods, distribution fitting, and statistical inference
- Experience with AI and ML a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
