The PTC Marketing team is looking for an ambitious Startup Business Development Lead to join our PTC Startup team in a high impact role. The Startup Program Business Development Lead will work on recruiting and enabling high-potential startups to use PTC’s industry-leading software as well as expanding our VCs and Incubators ecosystem. The person will help scale the PTC for Startups program across marketing, partnerships, operations, onboarding, and customer success. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the best startups globally are aware of the program, apply, and grow into long-term PTC customers. You will work closely with cross functional organizations including sales, operations, finance, marketing, product management and finance to drive great outcomes for startups in the PTC ecosystem.

This role requires in-person attendance in our Boston office on a hybrid basis.
Day-To-Day:
Manage and track inbound requests and applications to the PTC startup program
Identify high-potential startups and ensure startups in our ecosystem are equipped to succeed
Oversee health monitoring, usage optimization, and expansion into other products.
Analyze internal and external data to improve operational efficiency and optimize program outcomes
Drive awareness and demand of PTC’s startup program from VCs, Incubators, and Startup founders.
Coordinate and participate in virtual and in-person startup ecosystem events
Refine and maintain communications around the startup program to relevant internal teams
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree (engineering degree preferred)
3+ years of sales, business development, strategic partnerships, sales leadership management, consulting or program/product management experience
Experience working at a startup, investment firm, or startup program-focused role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable with ambiguity and change
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering. Mechanical engineering knowledge and/or experience
A startup ecosystem builder who understands founders, accelerators, and VCs, ideally with a similar startup program, as a VC, founder, or startup employee
Operational savviness, ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously while focused on execution and results
Demonstrated ability to work successfully cross-functionally and communicate effectively with senior leadership on program objectives, goals and metrics
Self-starter mentality
PTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $95,000 - $115,000. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus. Employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP), which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs. Employees may be eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and sick leave, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) contributions and employer match, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage and, if you are an office-assigned employee, a generous commuter subsidy.
