Position: Staffing Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for the day to day staffing needs of the nursing division under the direction of the Manager of Staffing and in collaboration with Nursing Leadership including Director of Nursing Education, the CNO, VP Patient Care Services. The Staffing Coordinator duties include schedule, time & attendance and administrative tasks and record keeping. Confidentiality: The Staffing Coordinator is privy to personal and organizational confidential information and must maintain the utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
- Maintain and update nursing division schedules, calendars, and records in Kronos scheduler.
- Forecast weekly staffing needs and collaborate with nursing leadership to fill staffing needs
- Make replacement staffing needs calls and maintain accurate list of calls
- Run, print and distribute planning sheets for daily, weekly, monthly, holiday and vacation schedules
- Identify trends and run reports from Kronos including UTO reports
- Maintain records and confirm assignments for per diem, agency, and traveler staff
- Maintain accurate list of employees in the nursing division including but not limited to MLOA's and RTW status & RTW processes (e.g. EHS and nursing education clearances)
- Collect daily payroll exception information, perform daily updates of KRONOS software and file as appropriate
Administrative Tasks:
- Perform class participant registrations, including but not limited to AHA classes, TNCC, NRP
- Book classrooms, audio video requests, food service and confirmations of same
- Score and record exams
- Enter and print AHA completion cards
- Answer phones and route calls
- Ordering of supplies and brochures
- Copying and filing
- Maintain and order office supplies
- Open and route incoming mail, prepare outgoing mail
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: HS diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 2 years of clerical/administrative experience preferred
