ClickUp is seeking a Staff Solutions Consultant to own presales engagements for commercial and enterprise customers. This role focuses on designing scalable, outcome-driven solutions that embed AI and AI Agents directly into how work is structured, executed, and governed inside ClickUp.

You will partner closely with Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, and delivery teams to translate operational challenges into practical, adoptable workflows that are ready for implementation.

Please note, we are only considering candidates who currently reside in US Pacific or US Mountain time zones at this time.

The Role
  • Lead structured discovery sessions and workshops with business, technical, and executive stakeholders to understand workflows, systems, constraints, success metrics, and AI readiness

  • Document current state processes, decision points, and handoffs, identifying where ClickUp and AI Agents can support customer requirements and improve execution

  • Map system touchpoints, integrations, and data dependencies required to support reliable AI-powered workflows and agent context

  • Design ClickUp solution architectures that combine workflows, automations, integrations, and AI Agents to support customer business objectives

  • Configure and validate workflows, automations, data synchronization, and agent behaviors to ensure solutions are scalable, governable, and aligned to real operating models

  • Build prototypes and demo environments that showcase AI-assisted workflows in realistic customer scenarios

  • Quantify value and develop business cases highlighting efficiency gains, cycle time reduction, cost avoidance, and tool consolidation enabled by AI-powered workflows

  • Author and own Statements of Work, including scope, phases, deliverables, success criteria, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and commercial structure

  • Partner with Account Executives and delivery teams on resource planning and sequencing to ensure AI Agent implementations are realistic, achievable, and clearly understood

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience

  • 6–8+ years of experience in solution consulting, presales, enterprise implementation, or workflow and process consulting roles

  • Demonstrated ability to design and defend AI-enabled workflows that combine structured data, automations, integrations, and AI Agents in real customer environments

  • Strong experience with prompt engineering, including agent role definition, constraint setting, structured outputs, and failure handling within production workflows

  • Hands-on experience designing or deploying AI-assisted systems, including agent context definition, data grounding, and workflow orchestration

  • Understanding of common AI failure modes, including hallucination, context drift, and reliability constraints, and how structured data and governance mitigate them

  • Proven experience owning, authoring, and negotiating Statements of Work and commercial scopes for custom professional services engagements

  • Ability to operate comfortably in ambiguity and translate emerging AI capabilities into practical, adoptable solutions

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
