Lead the development of automated systems for safe code rollouts, mentor engineers, design scalable solutions, and drive technical strategy.
The Testing & Releasing (DevX) team is on a mission to make code rollouts easy, safe and as automated as possible.
We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead the technical direction and build the systems that will bring this vision to life.
What you’ll be doing- Translate ambiguous problems into clear, actionable engineering plans.
- Drive the roadmap for major initiatives and ensure success.
- Design & implement complex, scalable systems (e.g. ephemeral environments for hundreds of developers).
- Champion engineering excellence, ensuring code quality, scalability, and reliability.
- Work closely with other engineering teams and cross-functional partners to align on strategy, priorities and timelines.
- Communicate technical decisions clearly to both engineers and leadership.
- Mentor and grow other senior engineers and make them better.
- Help with hiring to grow the team.
- Ensure engineering work is aligned with business goals and delivers real impact.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering. Ideally relevant experience in Developer Experience.
- Experience defining technical strategy and leading major initiatives.

- Collaboration & Influence – You work effectively across teams. You have experience in aligning teams and coordinating their execution. People trust your leadership.

- Strong Communication – You excel at written and verbal communication and can clearly explain complex technical decisions.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services.
- Knowledge of container orchestration services, preferably Kubernetes.
