About SimpliSafe

We’re a high-tech home security company that’s passionate about protecting the life you’ve built and our mission of keeping Every Home Secure. And we’ve created a culture here that cares just as deeply about the career you’re building. Ours is a no ego culture of collaboration and innovation where those seeking their next challenge can find big opportunities and make a huge impact on the lives of all those who we protect. We don’t just want you to work here. We want you to grow and thrive here.

We’re embracing a hybrid work model that enables our teams to split their time between office and home. Hybrid for us means we expect our teams to come together in our state-of-the-art office on two core days, typically Tuesday and Wednesday, to work together in person, and teams can choose where they work for the remainder of the week. We all benefit from flexibility and get to use the best of both worlds to get our work done.

Why are we hiring?

Well, we’re growing and thriving. So, we need smart, talented, and humble people who share our values to join us as we disrupt the home security space and relentlessly pursue our mission of keeping Every Home Secure.

At SimpliSafe, we’re on a mission to make every home secure —and to do that, we need to grow smarter and faster. We’re looking for a Principal Growth Product Manager to design and execute high-impact growth initiatives across our mobile and web applications, while keeping the customer experience at the core.

This role is about more than optimizing conversion rates. It’s about uncovering opportunities, running experiments, and building solutions and systems that scale. You’ll partner with Research, Design, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Customer Experience to improve how we turn users into subscribers and subscribers into advocates.

This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and a deep understanding of mobile, web, and backend technologies, as well as experimentation and data-driven decision-making. You will be a key leader within our product team, mentoring other PMs, fostering a culture of innovation, and advocating relentlessly for the customer experience.

What You’ll Do

Drive Growth Strategy & Execution

  • Define and champion the growth product vision and roadmap across mobile, web, and backend experiences, tied directly to subscriber value and business KPIs and aligned with Growth and Customer Experience strategies.
  • Prioritize initiatives that improve activation, monetization, and retention across the customer lifecycle.
  • Lead cross-functional squads of engineers, designers, and analysts to deliver customer-centric solutions at high velocity and as “one team”

Lead Experimentation & Optimization

  • Develop and execute a robust A/B testing roadmap to improve funnels, site personalization, and subscriber time-to-value.
  • Build and leverage instrumentation and analytics to deeply understand subscriber behavior and uncover hidden opportunities.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for leadership and execution teams.

Champion the Customer

  • Use qualitative and quantitative research, user interviews, and competitive analysis to uncover friction points and design intuitive, self-service experiences.
  • Focus growth initiatives on delivering genuine subscriber value and reinforcing why families choose SimpliSafe.
  • Collaborate with UX Research and Customer Experience to remove barriers and improve long-term engagement.

Lead & Mentor

  • Mentor other Product Managers, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of curiosity, innovation, and impact.
  • Regularly share results, insights, and progress with stakeholders to create alignment and momentum.
What You'll Bring
  • Growth Mindset: Ability to use the product experience as a lever for adoption, retention, and engagement.
  • Metrics-Driven: Expertise in funnels, cohort analysis, lifecycle optimization, analytics tools, and experimentation.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven success leading initiatives across product, design, engineering, data, and business stakeholders.
What Will Help You Succeed
  • We value measurable impact over activity, focusing on outcomes that drive subscriber and business value.
  • We value data-informed collaboration, bringing in diverse stakeholder perspectives before making decisions.
  • We value participatory leadership, working shoulder-to-shoulder with teams through discovery, ideation, and execution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of product management experience, including senior or leadership roles.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Able to query complex data using different analytics platforms (i.e. Tableau, Amplitude, Hex)
  • Track record of delivering outcomes in growth-focused product roles.
  • Direct experience improving adoption, activation, or engagement in subscription-based businesses.
What Values You’ll Share
  • Customer Obsessed - Building deep empathy for our customers, putting them at the core of our work, and developing strong, long-term relationships with them.
  • Aim High - Always challenging ourselves and others to raise the bar.
  • No Ego - Maintaining a “no job too small” attitude, and an open, inclusive and humble style.
  • One Team - Taking a highly collaborative approach to achieving success.
  • Lift As We Climb - Investing in developing others and helping others around us succeed.
  • Lean & Nimble - Working with agility and efficiency to experiment in an often ambiguous environment.
What We Offer
  • A mission- and values-driven culture and a safe, inclusive environment where you can build, grow and thrive
  • A comprehensive total rewards package that supports your wellness and provides security for SimpliSafers and their families (For more information on our total rewards please click here)
  • Free SimpliSafe system and professional monitoring for your home.
  • Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that bring people together, give opportunities to network, mentor and develop, and advocate for change.

We wholeheartedly embrace and actively seek applications from all individuals, no matter how they identify. We are committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we believe our work is enriched when we incorporate a multitude of perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences. We want everyone who works here to thrive and contribute to not only our mission of keeping every home secure, but also to making our workplace safe and supportive for others. If a reasonable accommodation may be needed to fully participate in the job application or interview process, to perform the essential functions of a position, or to receive other benefits and privileges of employment, please contact [email protected].

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
