As a Staff Product Manager for the Konnect Developer Portal, you'll create and manage developer experiences, collaborate across teams, and lead product discovery efforts.
Staff Product Manager, Developer Portal
United States & Canada(Remote) - Eligible for work authorization sponsorship
Why this opportunity?
Join us in redefining the developer experience at Kong. We're investing heavily in the Konnect Developer Portal, a next-generation, gateway-agnostic API portal designed to empower both developers and non-technical users to craft and publish modern, elegant API product experiences.
The Konnect Developer Portal is more than just documentation—it's the interface for API and AI productization, marketing, and developer self-service. We aim to deliver a seamless, low-friction source-to-publish experience across personas for APIs & AI.
As a Staff Product Manager, you'll own key surfaces in this journey—including the Portal authoring experience, content management system, and end-user experience, as well as partnering with integration tooling teams (e.g., CLI, terraform, and VS Code/Cursor extensions) to develop a word class documentation platform. You'll be joining a high-ownership team investing in deep user experience, generative AI, extensibility, and developer-first integrations. This is a rare chance to work at the convergence of product design, infrastructure, and AI in one of the most critical product areas in the Kong ecosystem.
Who is a good fit?
You are a passionate, self-directed product leader who understands what makes developers tick. You've worked in SaaS or developer platforms, built user-facing tooling, and can navigate both technical implementation details and user experience tradeoffs with ease.
You care deeply about delivering intuitive, delightful developer workflows—and you know how to partner across product, design, and engineering to bring bold ideas to life. If you're excited about designing AI-driven developer tools, building low-code/no-code surfaces, and shaping a core user-facing experience at Kong, we want to hear from you.

- Be a strong cross-functional communicator who can align diverse stakeholders and clearly articulate tradeoffs.
What You'll Bring:
- 6–8+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, developer tooling, or platform product areas.
- Deep empathy for developers, with hands-on experience building or supporting developer-facing tools or APIs.
- Experience shipping complex product surfaces that span frontend UX, backend integrations, and system design.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to partner with Design and Engineering in high-trust, iterative development.
- Ability to define and track success metrics tied to both product outcomes and business goals (e.g., ARR impact).
