About the Role 

We're seeking an innovative Staff Product Engineer / Product Lead to drive our product strategy  and roadmap while leveraging cutting-edge AI tools to accelerate feature development. This role  offers the opportunity to build products that will fundamentally change how billions of people  interact with their data online. You'll manage a lean team while driving product initiatives and  feature development that bridge user data sovereignty and control with enterprise innovation  needs. 

Success criteria include market expansion, customer validation, and velocity of high-quality  products and features. This will be a major role as Inrupt continues to grow and scale. 

Key Responsibilities 

Product Strategy 

• Actively maintain a view of how the market, competition and technologies are  evolving, factor this and customer feedback into our product direction 

• Prioritize features that accelerate Inrupt Enterprise Solid Server and Data and  Agentic Wallet adoption and interoperability for enterprises and government entities • Define and maintain the product roadmap for applications and infrastructure • Create data-driven business cases for new solutions across verticals (healthcare,  government, retail, financial services) 

AI-Native Product Development 

• Drive adoption of AI tooling across Product and Engineering organizations 

• Implement AI tools (e.g., Lovable, Bolt) to rapidly prototype applications and features 

• Utilize AI copilots (e.g., Claude, Qodo) to accelerate specification documentation,  schema development, service integration, and engineering product development 

• Leverage automated testing frameworks (e.g., Ellipsis, Browserstack) 

 • Implement intelligent analytics to track adoption, data sharing patterns, and  ecosystem growth metrics 

• Build AI assistants to enable developers to build ESS-supported applications faster and create automated onboarding flows for organizations adopting ESS 

Enterprise & Government Partnership Support 

• Lead product initiatives supporting major deployments  

• Implement automated compliance mapping for privacy regulations 

• Create AI-assisted migration tools for organizations transitioning from centralized to  ESS-based architectures

Team Leadership 

• Lead the growth of the Product organization  

• Foster collaboration between Inrupt's engineering, research, and business  development teams 

Required Qualifications 

• 5-7+ years of product management or software engineering experience, preferably in  data infrastructure, privacy tech, or developer platforms 

• Experience with AI/ML tools in product development 

• Proven ability to work in mission-driven, technically complex environments • Ability to translate between technical specifications and business value propositions 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Background in identity management, authentication systems, or data interoperability  standards 

• Knowledge of enterprise data architecture and integration challenges • Experience using AI tools for technical documentation, API design, or developer  experience optimization
