While LiveKit operates as an infrastructure company, we believe that every detail matters—from backend to frontend, from a single line of code to a single pixel. Design is not just how it looks, but how all the pieces work and fit together — from a developer landing on our homepage to connecting and interacting with our APIs for the first time.

We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience designing developer tools focused on observability and monitoring, and is excited about the future of realtime voice, video, and AI.

  • Continuously and proactively identify and prioritize areas of improvement in our products through a design lens.

  • Collaborate with other designers to level up design across all of LiveKit.

  • Ability to shape the vision for larger initiatives but can also scope design solutions for fast product iteration.

  • Strong grasp of responsive and accessible design principles, ensuring interfaces work well across devices and meet usability standards for all users.

  • Effective communicator with a strong design point of view while also being open and welcoming feedback from team members and stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with Figma + other tools that help you do your best work.

  • Experience designing for OSS, developer tooling, or similar fields.
