Lime is the world's largest shared electric vehicle company. We’re on a mission to build a future where transportation is shared, affordable and carbon-free. Our electric bikes and scooters have powered 700+ million rides in 250+ cities on 5 continents, replacing an estimated 150+ million car trips. Named a Time 100 Most Influential Company and Fast Company Brand That Matters, Lime continues to set the pace for shared micromobility globally.

The Identity & Access Management (IAM) team is a new, foundational group within Corporate Technology responsible for architecting, building, and running the systems that govern access to all corporate resources at Lime. This team will own the strategy and execution of our entire identity lifecycle, ensuring that the right people have the right access to the right resources at the right time. This role is critical to strengthening Lime’s security posture and supporting our public company readiness by building a scalable, compliant, and secure IAM program from the ground up.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned IAM expert who is passionate about building robust, automated systems. You will be responsible for translating a strategic roadmap into a fully operational program. You will lead the implementation of a new Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platform, centralize our Single Sign-On (SSO) processes, and serve as the subject matter expert on all things identity at Lime.

What You’ll do:

  • Lead the greenfield implementation and long-term ownership of Lime’s enterprise IGA platform.

  • Design, build, and automate the entire identity lifecycle (joiner, mover, leaver) to ensure seamless and secure transitions.

  • Take ownership of all new application integrations for Single Sign-On (SSO), migrating this responsibility from other teams to centralize expertise.

  • Collaborate with the security team to implement Zero Trust principles.

  • Develop and manage automated user access review (UAR) campaigns to ensure continuous compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements.

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for internal and external auditors regarding all identity and access controls.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams in HR, Legal, and Engineering to ensure IAM processes are effective and meet business needs.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for IAM architecture, configurations, and runbooks.

  • Act as the highest tier of technical support for resolving complex identity and access issues.

About You:

  • 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in Identity & Access Management.

  • Expert-level knowledge of enterprise identity providers, with a strong preference for Okta.

  • Proven experience implementing and managing an enterprise IGA platform (e.g., Saviynt, SailPoint, Okta IGA).

  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and experience leveraging APIs for identity workflows.

  • Deep understanding of core security principles, including Zero Trust models, least privilege, and role-based access control (RBAC).

  • Demonstrated experience with compliance frameworks such as SOX, GDPR, or CCPA.

  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects.

  • A customer-first mindset focused on creating secure yet frictionless access experiences for all of Lime’s employees.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
