Snyk is defining the future of AI security, and our new product, Evo, is a revolutionary step: the industry's first agentic orchestrator for securing AI-native applications. We are seeking a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to be the technical spearhead to drive Evo adoption within our most strategic, complex accounts. This highly visible, autonomous role operates at the critical intersection of customer and product engineering. You will leverage your deep technical expertise and strategic influence to adapt Evo to our customers' unique systems, workflows, and business needs, ensuring successful onboarding and driving customer value.
What You’ll Do:Technical Leadership: Serve as the most senior technical resource dedicated to Evo adoption within a select portfolio of Snyk's largest and most strategic customers, leading the charge from initial technical validation through full-scale production deployment.
Driving Product Evolution: Act as a critical feedback loop for the Evo Product and Engineering teams, synthesizing complex, real-world customer challenges into clear, prioritized requirements that directly shape the product roadmap and agent design.
Problem Complexity: Resolve highly ambiguous problems with no clear technical path. Your solutions often result in the creation of reusable tools, frameworks, and playbooks for the entire FDE team
Deep Technical Implementation: Go deep by writing production-level code for custom connectors, integration scripts, and proofs-of-concept necessary to bridge Evo with customer-specific tooling (CI/CD, ticketing systems, internal platforms).
Strategic Architecture: Design and evangelize reusable reference architectures and standards for deploying Evo into diverse customer environments, driving consistency and speed.
Technical Scale & Tooling: Identify and build out Evo tools and capabilities to drive meaningful adoption (e.g., automated diagnostic tools, deployment scripts) that reduce the time-to-value for the entire team.
Core Product Impact: Partner closely with Engineering/Product leadership to ensure that Evo can be deployed reliably and efficiently at scale, making architectural recommendations and changes that impact core product design.
Coaching & Mentorship: Act as the technical coach and design reviewer for multiple Senior FDEs, ensuring technical excellence and strategic alignment across all their projects.
What You Bring:
7+ years of progressive technical experience, with significant time spent in customer-facing engineering roles.
Demonstrated ability to design, build, and scale complex, distributed software systems (e.g., microservices, data processing pipelines).
Proven experience defining and driving technical strategy across multiple teams without direct management authority.
Excellent track record of shipping and maintaining reusable engineering assets or internal tools that scaled impact beyond a single project.
