Full‑stack staff engineer to ship web products end-to-end, iterate on and expand a suite of sales/CRM-focused tools, define engineering culture and best practices, and hire/mentor future engineers. Must move fast in a small team, engage with users, and solve new problems creatively.

About the Role

We're looking to bring on a full-stack startup engineer with shipping experience across the entire web development stack (HTML/CSS/JS + any backend). Most importantly, you should have a proven ability to turn ideas into reality.

We believe cold outbound is dying and sellers aren’t working efficiently. Our first product, Champify Track, helps revenue teams by surfacing job changes in Salesforce. This helps customers focus on existing relationships instead of sending emails to and cold-calling uninterested, new prospects. We’ve introduced multiple products in just the last 6 months: Calendar Sync, Exec Arrivals, Referrals, and have plans to release many more in the coming months.

The customers in our target market are seeing that the old ways of prospecting new business and selling to customers (e.g., mass emailing cold contacts) simply do not work. This is why it’s so important that you have the interest and ability to jump into a new problem space, absorb the key facts, and propose creative ideas. Past experience is less important to us than the will to challenge yourself and grow.

Our backend runs on Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Prisma. Our customer-facing product runs inside of Salesforce as a managed Apex application. Experience with any of these technologies or tools is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

  • You've shipped products in the context of a small team and know how to move fast

  • You enjoy talking to users, understanding their problems, and designing solutions that they'll clamor for

  • You seek out challenges and aren't afraid to stretch your comfort zone

  • You've worked with a variety of technologies (on both the frontend and backend)

  • You’re familiar with software development practices such as CI/CD, version control, code review, etc.

  • Bonus:

    • You have sales tech, CRM, or data acquisition product experience

Responsibilities

  • Iterate, improve, and expand our existing product suite

  • Define the culture and best-practices of our engineering team

  • Interview, onboard, and mentor future engineers

Who we are:

  • We’re small enough that you can get involved in anything. Your involvement will have an outsized impact.

  • The three founders collectively have on-hands experience taking companies from the idea stage to Series B and beyond, and have a diverse array of experiences in sales, engineering, and product. We’re going after a problem where we have deep insight, networks, and know-how.

  • We’ve raised a $3.4m seed round from Altman Capital (CEO, Lattice), Unusual Ventures (AppDynamics/Harness founders), scouts at Kleiner Perkins and CRV, and a list of prominent angels such as the founders of Heap, Dover, Untapped, Goldcast and more.

Benefits

  • Competitive equity and compensation

  • True remote-first working environment. Our team is distributed across the US with teammates in SF, LA, Austin, and NYC.

  • Unlimited PTO with enforced minimum

  • Health insurance, vision, dental

  • Flexible expense policy

Compensation

$180-250k / 0.1% - 0.2% Equity

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
