About the Role:
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our XTech advanced development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical prototypes that enable the realization of next-generation products. You will work at the intersection of innovation and practicality, transforming conceptual ideas into functional, manufacturable prototypes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for early-stage product prototypes.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Autodesk Inventor.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, industrial design, and manufacturing to ensure design feasibility and integration.
- Rapidly iterate on designs based on testing, feedback, and evolving requirements.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for prototyping and low-volume production.
- Conduct tolerance analysis, thermal and structural simulations, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Build and test physical prototypes using in-house tools or external vendors (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining).
- Document design decisions, test results, and lessons learned for future development.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and prototyping.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and mechanical drawing creation.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping tools and lab equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with rapid prototyping methods (3D printing, laser cutting, etc.).
- Familiarity with FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL) for structural and thermal analysis.
- Background in designing for consumer electronics, robotics, medical devices, or automotive systems.
- Knowledge of systems integration and packaging of electronics.

Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
