This role is hybrid, based out of Santa Clara, CA or Austin, TX.

We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.


Responsibilities:

  • Compensation Programming: Develop the compensation calendar and internal compensation practices. 
  • Global Support: Ensure our compensation philosophy is applied across all geographies we operate within.  
  • Compensation & Equity Reviews: Own and run these programs. Create tools and resources to help managers make informed compensation decisions.
  • Communication: Create all compensation communication, including training and total compensation statements.
  • Analytics & Benchmarking: Analyze compensation data, including salary surveys and market trends, to recommend adjustments that align with company needs and industry standards.
  • Internal Governance: Establish and maintain processes for compensation decisions, including promotion guidelines, market adjustments, and new hire compensation. 


Experience & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in compensation analysis or a similar HR role, with a strong understanding of compensation structures, data analysis, and market trends globally
  • Experience with compensation benchmarking, job evaluations, and salary surveys
  • Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills, with expert proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
  • Familiarity with compensation tools and HRIS systems
  • Strong knowledge of compensation laws and regulations
  • Ability to communicate complex compensation data clearly and effectively to executives and employees alike.
  • A keen eye for detail, with a commitment to accuracy and transparency


Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
