The Team:

Come join us on the ground floor on a team led by experienced ex-FAANG coworkers dedicated to developing state-of-the-art technology for Celonis products. The team creates foundational solutions such as a mining engine that enables our customers to interactively execute process mining over enterprise-sized data sets, as well as innovative object-centric modeling tools that empower users to perform process-oriented business analysis in a natural and powerful way. In order to handle the strong growth of our customer base and their demands, we are heavily investing in performance and scalability to ensure that our platform scales efficiently and dynamically in a multi-cloud environment.

We are on the lookout for passionate and experienced Software Engineers to join our team of experts. If you have a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, CI/CD, automation, performance analysis, and cloud microservices, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role:

As a Cloud Infrastructure Software Engineer at Celonis, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and building cloud solutions that drive the scalability, reliability, and performance of our products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain cloud-based microservices and infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP.

The work you’ll do:

  • Architect, design, and implement cloud-based microservices, leveraging Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployments.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
  • Conduct performance analysis and evaluation to optimize system performance and scalability.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure and microservices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in best practices and cloud technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends.

The qualifications you need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on cloud infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Strong expertise in container orchestration with Kubernetes (K8s).
  • Proficiency in implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Github Action, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
  • Extensive experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or similar technologies.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g. Python, Bash, Go).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and best practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud security, compliance, and monitoring tools(e.g. Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.).
  • Exceptional teamwork and communication skills.


The base salary range below is for the role in the specified location, based on a Full Time Schedule.
Total compensation package will include base salary + bonus/commission + equity + benefits (health, dental, life, 401k, and paid time off). Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and that the actual total compensation offer will be determined based on various factors, including, but not limited to, applicant's qualifications, skills, experiences, and location.

The base salary range below is for the role in New York, based on a Full Time Schedule.

$192,000$234,000 USD
