Description of Work

The Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is looking for a Staff Auditor II to assist with various financial audits performed on entities across state government, including institutions of higher education.
As part of our team, you will get to:
Participate in planning meetings for assigned audits where the team discusses audit risk and designs audit procedures to address the risks
Conduct on-site fieldwork, including gaining an understanding of internal controls
Review and analyze accounting transactions and perform test procedures on more complex audit areas
Document the results of your work and any potential findings

Minimum Education and Experience

Some state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both. A bachelor’s degree with 24 semester hours in accounting from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years of experience in auditing/accounting
