Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Strategic Program Manager to lead and oversee strategic initiatives within our Workplace Services organization. This role will be responsible for managing a diverse range of programs that improve the workplace environment, optimize operational efficiency, and enhance employee experience.
The Strategic Program Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including strategic planning, design & delivery, facilities operations, IT, HR, Communications and other our internal stakeholders, to ensure that workplace services, capital projects and initiatives are aligned with organizational objectives and support business success.
As a Strategic Program Manager, you will be accountable for the overall planning, execution, and delivery of major capital projects and key initiatives that encompass a variety of locations and initiatives. You will ensure that each program aligns with the company's strategic goals and is delivered efficiently, within scope, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Programming & Innovation
Proactively develop workplace strategies, ensuring alignment of business stakeholders and broader corporate objectives.
Elevate the experience by integrating high-quality amenities, hospitality, technology and immersive brand storytelling elements.
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to develop and implement programs that enhance the employee and customer journeys.
Introduce scalable solutions to support rapid change and growth.
Foster strong relationships with key vendors, contractors, and consultants to support both the successful execution of approved programs, along with continuously innovating for our future experiences.
Program Leadership & Strategy
Develop comprehensive program plans, including defining scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budget requirements.
Establish metrics to monitor project performance, measure success, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Coordinate the execution of Workplace initiatives across our business stakeholders, strategic planning, design & delivery, facilities operations, IT, HR, Communications, etc.
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of real estate projects, from planning and execution to monitoring and closure.
Work closely with leadership to secure appropriate resources and support for workplace services programs, ensuring that teams have the tools and capabilities they need to succeed.
Communicate status, updates, and milestones to senior leadership and stakeholders for global initiatives.
Project Management & Execution:
Lead Change Management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions for our employees and functions.
Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring financial resources are optimized across all workplace services initiatives.
Track expenditures, monitor cost efficiency, and adjust as necessary to stay within budget constraints.
Monitor program performance, track milestones, and provide actionable insights to leadership on program progress and outcomes.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with program delivery, providing proactive solutions to address issues as they arise.
Communicate individual program objectives, timelines, and deliverables to all stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams.
Ensure programs are delivered in compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and industry standards.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting:
Implement and promote continuous improvement practices, striving for greater efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and employee satisfaction across all workplace services initiatives.
Gather and analyze program data and feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and identify opportunities for improvement.
Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on program progress, challenges, and outcomes.
NOTE - We are open to considering candidates who reside outside of the US. Ideally, located within commute distance of a ServiceNow office.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or other relevant certifications is preferred.
10+ years of experience in program management or project management, with at least 7 years of experience managing capital projects in a workplace services or facilities management setting.
Strong understanding of workplace services operations, including facilities management, office planning, employee services, sustainability, and health & safety.
Strong understanding of capital project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management.
Proven experience in managing large-scale, complex projects across multiple departments or teams.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously with proven experience managing cross-functional programs and initiatives in a corporate or enterprise environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in managing workplace transformation or office space planning and design initiatives.
Familiarity with workplace technologies (e.g., smart buildings, IoT for facilities management, employee engagement tools).
Strong knowledge of budgeting and financial management related to workplace services.
