We’re looking for a senior UX Designer to join our Product team and help shape the experience of our Agentic Security Platform. UX is at the center of what we do and is a critical capability of 7AI. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Security subject-matter experts to design workflows that turn complex security problems into clear, confident user experiences.

This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys tackling complex systems, and wants real ownership over product direction in an early-stage environment. The focus of this role is more on information architecture, customer research and UX Interaction than look and feel, however all aspects of the design process will be leveraged as you work in a small and important team. 7AI is at the forefront of the AI revolution, and our UX Design team gets to write the playbook on what UI should look like in AI-Native SaaS products.

What You’ll Do
  • Design end-to-end user experiences for complex security workflows, from threat detection, investigations and automated response

  • Translate technical concepts (AI agents, alerts, policies, risk signals) into intuitive interfaces

  • Collaborate with Product Managers to define user problems, requirements, and success metrics

  • Partner closely with Engineers to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, and well-implemented

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using modern design tools

  • Conduct user research and usability testing with security practitioners to validate and iterate on designs

  • Contribute to and evolve our design system to ensure consistency and speed

  • Advocate for user-centered design across the organization

What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience designing SaaS or enterprise products

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating thoughtful UX for complex or technical systems

  • Experience designing workflows, dashboards, or data-heavy interfaces

  • Ability to clearly articulate design decisions and tradeoffs

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, highly ambitious startup environment with evolving requirements and an expectation of excellence over time

  • Strong collaboration skills across product, engineering, and leadership

  • Proficiency with tools like Figma (or equivalent)

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
