As a Tech & Innovation Sr. USG Implementation Engineer, you will be a member of the USG Go To Market (GTM) Team working directly with customers and collaborating internally with Business Development, Sales, Product and our Engineering teams. You will design, develop and deploy demonstratable proofs-of-technology concepts and ensure successful technical integration and adoption of solutions with customers to impact their critical missions. This role will focus on deploying and integrating our novel prototypes into local/hybrid/cloud infrastructure.
You will work with a wide variety of customers and use cases, predominantly in DoD and IC, influencing opportunities with our teams to develop innovative and effective solutions. In this role, you will be relied upon to exercise creativity, make pragmatic technology choices, and implement practical approaches. An ideal candidate possesses strategic and analytic aptitude, software development expertise, DevSecOps ownership and excellent interpersonal skills. The key to this position is to be a self-starter.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain DevSecOp pipelines in commercial and government cloud environments (multiple providers).
Identify security gaps/vulnerabilities and remedy for potential hand off to engineering/production.
Develop, deploy and maintain technology solutions as proofs-of-concept in our lab and onsite with customers.
Test, troubleshoot, and enhance customer software applications with and on behalf of customers.
Develop and present innovative, scalable, and cost-effective software solutions to meet customer needs.
Continually assess product quality, release readiness, and maintain existing Maxar software and hardware solutions.
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation to enable scaling of forward-deployed engineering tasks.
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and government regulations that impact our solutions.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are preferred but not required.
Government Secret security clearance
U.S. Citizen
10+ years of Proven experience in a relevant technology domain (DevSecOps, full-stack software development, hardware integration, drones, autonomy, Rapid Prototyping)
Understanding of U.S. Government infrastructure and security requirements.
Strong understanding of technical concepts related to managing drone applications, autonomy, and complex software stacks.
Experience with DevOps tools and automation platforms like Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker or similar technologies.
Significant software development experience with Python, JavaScript, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications
TS/SCI
Experience with developing product demonstrations and proofs of concept to showcase the capabilities and benefits of solutions to potential customers.
AWS Certification(s)
Security+ Certification
Firm understanding of federal risk management frameworks
Experience with drone hardware and software technologies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with US Government customers, including those in technical and leadership positions.
Strong experience with large geospatial datasets, storage, access patterns and formats
Creative problem solver and a team player.
Ability to travel (Up to 25%) and work independently and collaboratively with remote and/or geographically distributed teams.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments, using frameworks like Scrum and Kanban.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
● The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $137,000.00 - $228,000.00 annually.For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
