Job Description SummaryAs a Data Conversion and Automation Project Manager in our Enterprise Solutions organization, your role is pivotal in overseeing and managing data conversion and Automation projects. This position demands a deep understanding of ERP business processes, expertise in data transformation processes, proficiency in project management methodologies, and a meticulous attention to detail. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the successful conversion of data from diverse sources into a standardized format, while adhering to project timelines and achieving project objectives.
You will work with the team and deliver a clear and descriptive set of requirements to enable the delivery of product features and functionality. Your priority is seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders including but not limited to: Customers, Process Owners, Application Managers, Development teams and data Architects.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinating Deliverables: Ensure seamless coordination of project deliverables among functional stakeholders, vendors, and subject matter experts.

  • Project Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, cutover plans, and dashboards, presenting them to various stakeholders.

  • Effective Team Leadership: This role involves influential leadership to guide fellow employees and contractors, ensuring on-time and error-free project deliverables.

  • Data Mapping Expertise: Create meticulous data mapping and transformation specifications, including field-level mappings, data cleansing rules, and conversion logic.

  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate data conversion project risks, providing regular updates to stakeholders.

  • Communication: Maintain transparent and efficient communication with stakeholders, team members, and senior management, delivering regular project updates and status reports
    • Interacts with customers/stakeholders in requirements-gathering, data conversion strategy development, data quality management and automation strategies.
    • Works with cross-functional teams to deliver data and automation needs
    • Shows increasing understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the final product.
    • Conducts customer and stakeholder interviews, demonstrates ability to influence functional owners and product managers through persuasion and influencing.
    • Prioritizes continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of stakeholder / functional problems and needs.
    • Engages frequently (50% of the time) with the development team; facilitates discussions, provides technical guidance, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions.
    • Applies Agile Methodology.

Education Qualification

For roles outside USA:

BE or BTech Degree with good data and automation experience.

For roles in USA:Bachelor's Degree in with minimum years of experience4years

Desired Characteristics

Technical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of data conversion models and automation technologies.

• Experience working in an Agile environment

5+ years of experience in Project Management with experience in any ERP platform

• Familiarity with versatile data conversion and automation implementation options
Business Acumen:
• Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
• Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
• Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices
• Skilled in negotiation to align stakeholders and communicate a single synthesized perspective to the development team. Balances value propositions for competing stakeholders.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the competitive environment
• Demonstrates knowledge of technologies in the market to help make buy vs build recommendations, scope MVPs, and to drive market timing decisions
Leadership:
• Influences through others; builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas. Pre-emptively sees downstream consequences and effectively tailors influencing strategy to support a positive outcome.
• Able to verbalize what is behind decisions and downstream implications. Continuously reflecting on success and failures to improve performance and decision-making.
• Understands when change is needed. Participates in technical strategy planning.
