Exact Sciences Corporation seeks Sr Statistical Programmer in Madison, WI.
Job Duties: Participate in the development, validation, and post-marketing support of genomic biomarker assays that help cancer patients, and their physicians make better treatment decisions. Perform statistical analysis on data from diverse sources, using Base SAS, SAS Macros, SAS/STAT, SAS/Graph, SAS/SQL, and SAS/ODS to create and maintain tables, listings, and graphs. Create analysis datasets in a standard format following specifications or per study needs, and assesses the quality of data analysis programs, as needed. Create innovative data visualizations and generate dashboards using creative techniques in either SAS, R, or Power BI per study needs. Collaborate closely with clinical biostatistics, clinical data operations, clinical development, clinical operations, medical communications, and medical affairs to provide expertise in the generation of statistical analyses and reports. Perform data analysis using primarily the SAS programming language for the summary and interpretation of medical and clinical data. Ensure accurate and timely completion of the statistical programming activities for assigned projects, including, but not limited to, exploratory and formal data analyses for final study reports, abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and ad-hoc projects, including verification and documentation of results. Participate in the review of analysis plans and development of programming requirements, as needed. Work on complex problems and exercise independent judgment in the selection and adaption of methods appropriate for the specific objective, as needed. Independently verify other programmer’s results. Directly support project biostatistician, requiring minimal guidance. Interact cross-functionally with biostatisticians and other members of the clinical team to perform ad-hoc analysis and generate reports necessary according to the team and study requirements. Remote work benefit available. Employee can work from anywhere in the U.S.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Biotechnology, or a Computational or Biological Science and five (5) years of experience in Statistical Programmer, Statistical Programmer II, Sr. Statistical Programmer, or in a related role/capacity.
Special Skills:
- 5 years of experience performing statistical programming in academia, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry.
- 3 years of experience supporting highly visible statistical programming projects of clinical data.
- 3 years of experience utilizing statistical theory and statistical programming techniques and procedures, including, but not limited to, SAS.
- 4 years of experience working in an FDA regulated environment.
- 4 years of experience in multiple therapeutic areas, oncology, and genomics.
- 1 year of experience utilizing R.
- 4 years of experience in writing, testing, and validating SAS programs, and reviewing resulting output and data.
- 4 years of experience programming defensively, checking results, and consistently producing accurate output.
- 4 years of experience identifying and debugging complex programming errors.
- 4 years of experience working in a multi-disciplinary program team and leading statistical programming activities of a project.
- Remote work benefit available. Employee can work from anywhere in the U.S. Ability to travel domestically 10% of time, may include overnight/weekend travel.
Salary: $109,000 - $174,000 per year.

$109,000.00 - $174,000.00The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to be considered for company stock at hire and on an annual basis.
