Job Title: Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack
Location: New York, NY
Company: Hatz AI
Position Overview:
We are seeking an exceptional, team-oriented Senior Full Stack Engineer to drive the development of our AI SaaS product, with a particular focus on agentic workflows and tool-calling experiences. Based in New York City's Flatiron District, Hatz AI is building AI technology for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and their SMB clients. You’ll have the opportunity to explore emerging techniques in modern LLM application development while shipping production-ready solutions.
In this role, you will architect, develop, and maintain both frontend and backend systems that power our platform, including real-time streaming UX, agent execution services, and integration-heavy tool surfaces. You will collaborate with design, sales, marketing, and customers to create user experiences that are both intuitive and reliable. You’ll be expected to communicate technical tradeoffs clearly and discuss system design choices, not just implement them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, prototype and ship new features.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Implement responsive design principles to maintain a seamless user experience across various devices.
- Create clean abstractions and interfaces which work with an integration-heavy technical product
- Troubleshoot, debug and fix application issues when they arise
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our applications are current and competitive.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with a strong portfolio of web applications.
- Proficiency in Next.js, Typescript, and server-side Python environments
- Experience working with generative AI APIs, streaming outputs, embeddings, and tool calling.
- Familiarity with agentic workflows and integration patterns (e.g. MCP servers).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good to have skills:
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Working with container orchestration and cloud infrastructure
- Familiarity with server-side rendering and static site generation.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest or Cypress.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL/SQL and Row Level Security
Benefits:
- Competitive salary and equity
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability insurance, and 401(k) with match.
- Flexible work hours and remote work options.
- Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
- A collaborative and inclusive work environment.
