Job description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to develop cutting-edge AI-integrated web applications. You'll architect and implement sophisticated AI-powered solutions, working with the latest technologies to create innovative user experiences. This is an individual contributor role focused on deep technical expertise in AI integration and full-stack development.

As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will:

* Integrate cutting-edge AI systems, including RAG architectures with hybrid search, graph databases, vector stores, and re-ranking algorithms into production web applications
* Design and implement APIs and microservices that seamlessly connect web frontends with AI backends, managing context windows and token optimization
* Develop AI evaluation and optimization solutions, implementing custom benchmarks, A/B testing frameworks, and performance monitoring for model inference
* Build conversational AI interfaces with multi-turn context management, prompt chaining, and dynamic system message generation
* Collaborate with development teams to implement technical excellence and best practices across AI integration patterns
* Work within Agile/Scrum processes and contribute to project delivery, breaking down complex AI features into deliverable work items
* Partner with Product teams to translate AI product requirements into technical implementations with clear scope and success metrics
* Make technical decisions balancing AI model costs, latency, and accuracy with web performance, scalability, and maintainability
* Architect and implement responsive, performant web solutions using modern frameworks optimized for AI-powered features
* Develop full-stack applications that leverage agentic AI workflows, tool calling, and structured output generation

    And more! All of this will be done under the supervision of our highly tenured and experienced software engineers and team leads. Make no mistake, this is not your typical entry-level role, you will be given responsibility from the jump and rewarded with ample opportunity to grow and learn.

    Required Skills:

    * 5+ years senior web development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
    * Expert proficiency in modern frameworks (React, Vue, Angular)
    * Strong backend development (Node.js, Python, modern PHP) and database design
    * Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies
    * Demonstrated experience integrating AI/ML models into production web applications
    * Proficiency with RAG systems, prompt engineering, and AI evaluation methodologies
    * Understanding of agent-based systems and conversational AI interfaces
    * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex AI-integrated systems
    * Excellent technical communication and cross-functional collaboration
    * Experience in making technical decisions, balancing performance, scalability, and technical debt
    * Ability to work with project management tools (Jira, Confluence) and translate business requirements into technical scope

        Preferred Skills:

        * Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP).
        * Knowledge of cost implications for reasoning models.
        * Experience with containerized agent fleets.
        * Understanding of the software OpEx paradigm shift in AI development.
        * Background in fields like voice engineering, eval design, or AI architecture.
        * Experience with clean code, software architecture, and software engineering best practices.

        We understand that interviewing is daunting, our interview process for this role consists of:

        • 30-minute Zoom Interview with a member of our People Operations team
        • 30-minute Zoom Interview with the hiring manager
        • 80-minute Zoom technical/coding interview
        • 30-minute Zoom final interview with our CTO

            Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $130,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Other incentives and compensation may be available based upon a number of factors including bonus, equity, and OTE (on target earnings)

            Overview

            Dozuki has observed that certain agencies/individuals have been making job offers on behalf of Dozuki in exchange for money and/or personal identifying information such as Date of Birth, Social Security number, etc. Job applicants have received dubious emails and LinkedIn messages extending Dozuki offer letters and asking for payments in lieu of benefits, uniforms, laptops, etc.

            At Dozuki, we don’t charge a fee at any stage of our recruitment process. Legally, we’re not obliged to honor any job assurances made by third parties in exchange for money.

            How can I tell if an offer of employment is genuine?

            Dozuki always first extends a verbal offer before a written offer is constructed.

            What’s recruitment fraud?

            Recruitment fraud is a sophisticated scam offering fictitious job opportunities. This type of fraud is normally perpetrated through online services, such as bogus websites, or through unsolicited emails claiming to be from Dozuki. These emails request that you provide personal information, and ultimately payments, to process applications for jobs that don’t exist. Fraudsters impersonate Dozuki’s recruiters and use the company name/logo, brand names, and images illegally, without authorization. They try to extract money as security deposit, documentation processing fees, training fees, uniforms, laptops, benefits, etc.

            Despite our most vigilant efforts, some people continue to operate and defraud the general public. Therefore, it’s important to stay informed and aware about such fraudulent activities.

            How do I identify recruitment fraud?

            1. E-mail correspondence is often sent from (or to) free web-based email accounts, such as Yahoo.com, Gmail.com, Live.com, etc.

            2. Email correspondence appears to be sent from an officer or senior executive of the company, often in Legal or Human Resources. If the email address doesn’t end with @Dozuki.com, it’s most likely not legitimate.

            3. The perpetrators frequently use mobile or platform telephone numbers or contact through WhatsApp, Google Voice, etc.

            4. There is an insistence on urgency.

            How can I protect myself?

            • Don’t pay or transfer money to get a job at Dozuki. Dozuki will not accept liabilities for any losses to those who have been defrauded.

            • Don’t engage with persons who hold themselves out as Dozuki employees and try to solicit payments under the pretext of offering recruitments.

            • Be careful when sharing your personal information to protect yourself from potential damage.
