The Sr. Salesforce Business Analyst forms part of the Commercial Success team. They partner closely with the Business Information Systems (BIS) team to gather functional and non-functional requirements for internal products, processes, and strategies used across IDeaS' business teams. This role is specifically focused on driving enhancements and customizations to the IDeaS Salesforce environment with an emphasis on finance-related processes, including billing, invoicing, revenue recognition, and downstream financial workflows. The ideal candidate brings strong Salesforce expertise and an understanding of how financial operations integrate with the lead-to-cash lifecycle. Knowledge of financial systems and processes is considered a significant plus.
This is a hybrid role that requires travel to our Bloomington, MN office.
What you'll be doing... • Acts as a trusted advisor to internal finance and business stakeholders by engaging with leadership to understand strategic goals, workflows, and Salesforce usage for billing, invoicing, revenue recognition, and related financial processes.• Provide deep support resolving complex Salesforce lead-to-cash issues with focus on financial data integrity.• Assess impacts of new go-to-market, pricing, or contractual models on downstream financial processes.• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and BIS to define requirements that enhance Salesforce for financial operations.• Gather and analyze finance stakeholder feedback to surface feature improvements and drive continuous enhancement.• Assist in developing the Salesforce enhancement roadmap aligned to financial accuracy, compliance, and business goals.• Support UAT for finance-impacting enhancements and provide go/no-go recommendations.• Build cross-functional relationships to improve the end-to-end financial experience in Salesforce.• Support ad hoc projects and evolving financial systems initiatives
What you'll bring to us... • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a technology-driven company.• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Operations, or related field.• Extensive Salesforce experience including lead-to-cash, releases, UAT, and data validation.• Familiarity with billing, invoicing, revenue recognition, quoting, or subscription/contract management strongly preferred.• Understanding of Salesforce-finance integration is a significant advantage.• Experience producing BRDs, User Stories, Use Cases, and workflows with finance focus.• Excellent organizational, documentation, communication, and consultative skills.• High degree of proactivity, curiosity, and financial process awareness.• Salesforce BA or Admin certification preferred.• Ability to travel as needed.
